Re: First Corsa Track Car

Hi People, I Have A Problem I Was Going To Take My Shell Up To Lee @ Fusion For A Welded Cage, But After Talking To A Friend Of The Family A Friend Of The Family Has A New Sparco 16 Point Bolt In Cage I Can Have For £200.00, What Should I Do. If I Buy The Bolt In Cage I Saves Me On Fuel To Yorkshire, Time & Money.

Will The Sparco 16 Point Bolt In Cage Be Up For The Job !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: First Corsa Track Car

Its actually a 8 point cage if you look at the points it actually mounts to the shell. Good cage though.

Re: First Corsa Track Car

if it says 16 point then thats what it has, tech drawings dont always have all the points on them as these are usually tacked to the cage during fit and then fully welded on final assembly.

Quite a collection of parts mate!

What's with the steering rack? Anything special or a standard Corsa one?

Re: First Corsa Track Car

You mean that standard EPAS rack is only 2.5 turns? When you say EPAS you mean the one with the pump electrically driven or the one which is belt driven?

Totally confused....

NEED... QUICK... RACK...

Re: First Corsa Track Car

get a manual rack from a corsa B with epas (late spec) they are manual racks but 2.5 turns LtL they are about £30-40 new from your local motorfactors..

How can you build a cossie that looks so good, yet not realise how poo a corsa will look with those bumpers??

I have a sparco 8 point cage and fitment and quality was very good.

If The Bumper Dont Look Correct, When I Have Trial Fitted Them I Will Remove, The Car Is For Track Use Only And Are Having The Bumpers On Quick Release Fitting So I May Have Two Front Bumpers.

Re: First Corsa Track Car

Hi everyone, small up date as still waiting for shell and head. I am picking up throttle bodies tomorrow.

While I have being waiting for parts I have added a few bits to engine and wrapped manifold think it looks good, to be honest its my second go as the first roll of material I bought was like rope twisted together.

Will post photos of throttle bodies tomorrow for your comments

Also has anyone got photo of timing pullys etc fitted as cant rember how it goes.
