With the bolt in ones you still have to weld a plate to the mounting points where the rollcage will bolt to. If you really want a weld in one then simply weld in the mounting points, and then weld the cage/foot plates to the mounting points. It's all the same really. lol

Either that or you'll have to go custom I think. I wish I'd done that and gone for a full on climbing frame in the car

Re: Corsa turbo build

Don't get a Custom Cage from Tweeks Rick they add quite a bit on top. Colin Smith (novarally) was telling me of a firm that des the custom cages much cheaper. PM him.

Ah right, I wasn't aware of that Phil

The FIA rules'll have changed so much by the time this corsa is ready I don't think Rick'll be bothered anyway? (if he's bothered about FIA stuff to start with)

I gave it "a little" heat with the gun and then used a scraper. Came up fine.

Re: Corsa turbo build

If your looking for a custom cage try;

http://www.northoffroad.co.uk/vehicles.asp

They will create a custom cage for pretty much anything and I can vouch for their quality, having been rolled in a friends landrover a couple of times!

Looking forward to seeing the finished corsa!

I'm removing mine when I go side mounted on each; unsure why he still has his fitted.

Might have a go at starting on the loom tomorrow. Want to keep the central locking for ease really but will loose the alarm, airbag and stereo wiring.

Yup i am going to gut it all. Infact i am going to do a bit more drilling now.

There might be a few little holes to weld up though where i have gone through! Not many but they need sorting.
