Re: my race car's

You bored of class 6??

New car looks very nice look forward to seeing it next year. Some very fast boys in class 5 tho. Your gonna need some deep pockets for a funky 1400cc.

Re: my race cars

im going in to class 5.. its like a baby 7, 1400cc 8v is the engine limit. vaux are just not strong enuff at the power i need and quite expencive, pug tu is the one to have as there very strong but also very expencive, iv gon for a crossflow engine as i new one going that has a very good spec and good power with a full rebuild for a good price.

are you going to run your engine inline or transverse ??

Re: my race cars

mid engined

and as for the 1.4 8v comment, gota disagree lol, my mates gfs class 5 nova runs an 8v, makes 113bhp at wheels, engine internals are stock with just rod bolts. 1.3 head, race cams, bodies and solids. lasted 3 seasons now.

xflows are nice motors, but after porting a mini head i wouldnt offer to do or choose to do another cast head

Re: my race cars

113 at the wheels aint tha much for a class5 tbh 140 is a good power and at tha the crank will not last long like the guy round our way who went through 3 bottom ends this season.. the head on mine is chambered the motor is said to be good for around 140 and thats going to be put to the wheels through a quaife s/c box..

what box u gunna run.. see if u mount it over the back wheels transverse like it would be in the front u can use an f20 box but if u put the engine in long ways like it would sit in a carlton your box choice is a bit more tricky ie renault 21 or huelend type9 or the vw beatle box and u wud need a bellhousing to convert.
