Arden Blue C20LET Build

Hi all this is my first post on this site.

Doesnt have a sun roof but I still like it

Didnt hang about either, when I got it back took it to mates house and we fitted my old -50mm spax springs to get rid of the standard look (sort of :lol

After -

Got myself some nice new racetech gauges

Boost Gauge

Oil Temp

Oil Pressure

Complete with senders -

I also got myself a nice tripple gauge holder

New wheels -

Im having them without centre caps on though as I preffer them without

Fitted....

Just needs to be lower but im stillll waiting for my suspension grrrrr

Re: Arden Blue C20LET Build

Well yesterday was a very long day, left at 11.30am and didnt get back till about 12am.
My first destination was Cumbria where I met rickiek123 who was selling a c20let.
He took me out in it and all I can say is :! I cant believe im having the engine out of it, quick is an understatment.

Drive down -

Got lost so had to meet Ricky somewhere

Taking engine out -

After about 2 hours engine finaly out..

And this was the state of my car with everything in :!

Making it sit quite low and struggle up some of the steep hill Cumbria had to offer

Some other piks from the day

Oh and cant forget this beast

After taking the engine out we then had to travel for another couple of hours back down to Manchester to drop car of at Beardys, arrived there at something like 10 -11.
So now the car is being worked on by Beardy and should be transformed in the next few weeks

Well here is a update.

Well Jay dropped his car off last night (17/08/08) right from picking his engine up, arrived at mine about 9pm.
After rolling out of my bed at dinnertime i took the car to my garage/unit an began work. By 5pm this is as far as i got.
Found a few bits missing and need to sorce BUT most of the work on the engine is done. Only real time comsuming is New custom Boost pipes and Exhaust system.
Jay has not asked for the car back until Sept 11th so i will finish it off asap then use it for a few weeks as my everyday run about to make sure all is 100%.

Enjoy, will keep the updates coming.......

Re: Arden Blue C20LET Build

Cheers guys

Work is coming along quickly.

Shouldnt be too long before its done, im having a few things replaced such as oil pump, water pump, timing kit, gaskets with brand new ones even though when I saw the engine and went for a test drive it seemed spot on but its just for piece of mind.

Its running eds phase 2 chips but it has a switchable function so you can change between standard power and more boost I believe? Think it should take it up to around the 240-260 mark?

Anyone familiar with this?...

Re: Arden Blue C20LET Build

Forgot I had this thread on mig

Made some progress, should be finished sooon it just needs a few more parts then it can go for its MOT

-90mm springs

All gauges fitted an wiring in kick panel all done and tidyed away

Exhaust 90% done just waiting on a flange and backbox parts to finish off, full exhaust is made for 316 mandel bent stainless pipe all TIG welded.

So about 90% complete atm, just needs a few parts like alternator and water pipes then it can go for its MOT, then its just a case of toutching up and tidying it all.
