JohnnyA's Calibra V6 4wd Build

Opening up this thread for john as he is using my unit at JADE Performance to reshell his calibra 3ltr v6 but with a few mods.

Custom Tubular manifolds and a 4 wheel drive set-up.

Just a small picture to show how he is getting on and the rest will follow monday evening/tuesday.

Sounds cool. Reshell it into another Calibra?

Re: JohnnyA's Calibra V6 4wd Build

Hi guys, still working on the car. It's getting there, currently camber-modding the rear beam so it doesn't eat tyres and kill the TXB.

Car's spec:
Mint facelift 1995 Calibra Turbo 4x4 chassis in Diamond black
X30XE bottom and top ends, C25XE manangement, modded loom, water pipes and various other bits
X30XE inlet system
Tubular steel manifolds and modified downpipe to suit manifolds and TXB
F28 6-speed gearbox and TXB from new shell (TXB rebuilt 10K ago by VTS), custom rose jointed quickshift
Exhaust is a combo of standard calibra turbo and the back section of a longlife oval duplex system
Lowered 60mm on spax springs and adjustable shocks
Rear beam modified to correct camber

good work,

why have you used modded 2.5 management on the 3.0 though?

The C25XE engine doesn't have EGR's or secondary air systems

Quality project - looking forward to seeing more here!

I'm a bit unsure on the "modified rear beam" though... IRS, surely...?

Cool project.

Question for ya, we`re thinking of using a X30 inlet on a a 2.5, how have you aranged the intake? As in still using one air flow meter? then splitting to two pipes for the twin throttle body section?
