Crikey, best add some updated pics to this lmao....

Engine is now in and running (second time lucky! snapped a valve somehow so had to strip and rebuild the top end)



Manta mirrors..



Freshly painted bumper lovliness..





Rear bumper..



Toe eye removed so slot filled in and numberplate lights relocated so that got filled in too.

Side skirts (GTE/GSi items) are painted the same colour.





I then turned my attention to finishing off the interior..

Roof lining, arrrrgh!!

Bought a second hand non sunroof one, but it was no good. So (some will hate me for this) i sat and unpicked every stitch and used it as a template to make my own from scratch!

VX220 dash in and working. Cobbled up a surround for it aswell.

And thats where i am at. Wheels are at a mates for painting (same colour as bumpers/skirts), tyres, tax, MOT and insurance and i can drive it!! Cant wait.

Now, wheres that money tree......lmao

Wheels are back from the painter, tyres are on. Pretty much ready for it MOT now. Fingers crossed my mate can do it next saturday. Sorted the insurance today. Just tax to sort and we are ready to rock. Not bad for nearly 10 years LMFAO!!!

MOT booked for saturday!!

Took some pics for the insurance at the weekend...







Will hopefully have a nice MOT certificate saturday, so next week i can go to the DVLA and get the V5 updated and tax it. lol put my name down for Castle Combe on the 28th April!

Managed to get out over the easter break to put some miles on it. A few friends came along too....







I wasnt at the back all day though!!

Also did abit of tinkering. The VX220 dash reads the fuel level backwards and i could not work out how much i actually had. So...



..not pretty, but does the job!

I have also stripped the sump and fitted an 8v baffle plate. So the oil now stays on the inside. For now!

Just need to give it a good clean ready for its first track day at castle combe on the 28th.

LOL @ swapping paint. I havent booked any sessions yet. If i manage to get one it will be in the afternoon. Hopefully all the accident prone will have crashed by then!

Scorge, i dont think i have my template left. A Nova roof lining had to meet its death for me to make mine!!
