All ports have been streamlined. The inlet have a really sharp edge and the exhaust ports are milder for better heat dissipation.

Worked on the inlet valves.

polishing top and bottom:










Valves where sanded and polished with several grits.
(starting with 320 and right now the are polished with 800 grid).
They will receive a second polishing process with 1000, 1200, 1600, 2000, 2500 and i will finally use polishing wax to a mirror finish.

Took me 2 1/2 hours just for one port to sand down and to pre polish!!!

I started to work on the combustion chamber.


I used the 2 old valves and made them smaller in the lathe so they will sit deeper in the seat. This gives me more room in the corners with the grinder and the sander. It also protects the valve seats from damage.

We hope to pass the 200 hsp range. With the water/methanol injection and all other mods.

The methanol injection will push the 98 octane fuel to 117 octane!! Thats just like vp racing gas.

Whitch pistons and what compression rate are you planning on?

I'm putting in the stock 16v c20xe pistons in. (MAHLE).
Compression ratio will be 12.5:1
Stock c20xe rods polished and shaved to 620/600 gramm (CNC machined).
Wrist pins machined to make them lighter
Stock c20xe crank. Shaved and balanced.

I'll try to get everything balanced within +/- 0.5 gramm.

Everything will be coated with different engine coatings. This will help lub and reduce friction. Heads comb chamber and pistons top exhaust valves will receive a special heat barrier coating.

Coating alone will give me approx. 15-20 hsp upgrade

Machining the base plate of the manifold.




















Will mount it on the head tomorrow and finish it on the mill. Have to remove the exhaust studs for that.

More work on the manifold:


We measured the head surface on the manifold side and we shaved 7/100 off to flatten it out. This will give it a bullet proof sealing.








Finishing the outer shape:


















Installing a trick option (Cooling fins):

We machined cooling fins on the manifold to help cool down the head and force the heat dissipation.

Came out pretty good.

Valve guides from a camp car team.
Can´t buy these off the shelf. They are for 7mm valves.




Will machine them for the 8v head.


Aquamist race water/methanol injection pump.
It will be triggered via the tps sensor of the R1 bike carbs.

The inlet ports will be welded this weekend. Hope to finish up the all the welding by mid next week.

Came from a Nascar Racing Team. Size is 11" x 7.5"










This will be used with an extra cooling fan !! (can be turned on/off on the track or when stuck in a traffic jam).
