Talking My Corsa and the future....

reet as some of you may be a where i've flooded the forum with questions this morning (3 lol) but after sitting outside at work the other day i decided that after 8 months of trouble free motoring and a little bump in the car i want to give the old girl a little makeover, it's only fair.

My plan is to try and locate a bonnet, 2 doors and a drivers wing and a non painted GSi rear spoiler and replace the damaged front bumper and generally give her a really good clean in the engine bay and underneath. I'll keep you all up dated and lool forward to reading your comments and view, whether your for or against all's good lol

then once got these plus possible lowering kit i plan to re paint the exterior with a mate, and then look for either a 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v engine and take her on the track.

here's a bit of history to her....

when brought (off ebay)

after my little bump

and after a good clean the other month..

hope you like, i know i know it's a Corsa 1.2 8v Twist but she's done me proud and has missed a beat, i gave her a good service when brought and @ 146,000 miles she's still going strong

Re: My Corsa and the future....

right a strange twist in my plan has occurred and basically as of the forth coming bank holiday i'll be the proud owner of a 2.0 red top, now i know it's from a astra GTE and i'm not too clued up on vaux stuff but i'm learning but my mate who's found me the engine knows his vaux's inside out, and assures me it's a good engine.

It's a had a full bottom end rebuild, and my mate is going to rebuild the top with my help. this engine also includes the hubs, brakes, shafts, loom, ECU and gearbox, so pretty much ready to go straight in bar a purpose made mount i've got to buy apparently off ebay

just got a few questions, Wot manifold do i need? is there one people recommend for this kind of conversion, and wot size wheel's will i need for these GTE brakes??

Thanks everyone

Re: My Corsa and the future....

awesome, me likey projects . Id suggest maybe getting a set of used alloys in good nicck instead of new ones, then the money you save - put it towards some better brakes or something

Re: My Corsa and the future....

thing with buying new alloys is that i get good tyres, just seems it'll be a little less money to spend plus i'll put a deposit down this month then pay the rest off next month, jjust means i can spread the cost lol

as i need now

Manifold
Exhaust
GSi Suspension Kit
Bigger Anti-roll bar
Multi-point injection Pump
Alloys
Filter
Silicone Hoses

haha, pretty much my months wages spent their

Re: My Corsa and the future....

Well a fairly big up date today. After driving upto ChrisXR's home to pick up a full GSi interior for my car, i decided that yesterday and this morning i would fit it all. Had to do a few little tweeks, like spray my manual side mirror interior covers and rear bench hinge covers, and a few of my interior screw covers black, the colour match is super even though i just used 'car plan' satin black

also had to cut the manual winder holes out for my poverty spec corsa but looks cracking (well i think) also used my drivers side lower door card pocket thingy which i spray black too.

also final got round to replacing the blown bulbs on the heater controls so they finally light up now anyways heres a few pic's.....let me know wot you think as i spent all this morning cleaning the interior seats and plastics.

and here's a few after i finally cleaned the outside and replaced the knackered rear wiper

Re: My Corsa and the future....

pain in the arse if you go the vauxhall route loving the "glovebox" you wont get a purpose made exhaust for this car with the XE in it as no-one makes them, the best i can suggest is saving up a few hundred and having one made on the car by powerflow.
