Hi all over the next 8 weeks i will be preparing a Mk3 Gsi for a saloon car championship here in Dubai in the Middle East and all being well racing the car in a championship starting in October. The car was originaly sent to Japan but found itself back here in Dubai dumped for 6 months and then given to me the guy didnt know what to do with it so told me to come and just take it away!!! it is the only one in the Middle East as far as i know. There is no rust on the shell as you will see from the photos i have stripped the car down as far as i can as i need it to roll around our workshop have all the parts taken out of the car seems a waste to throw them away but i cannot think of what else to do with them. I am looking for any advice for set up of the car as it will only be used for circuit racing the engine is a C20XE and with the help of Steve from SBD it should be 200bhp on taper throttle boddies for this season and 250-280 for the season after the car will have a Custom Cage CDS weld in roll cage to be installed this week photos to follow Koni Coilover suspension on the front dont know what to do with the rear as yet OMP Gpa exhaust system Rix bias pedal box with braided lines inside the car Quaife diff and gear assembly, Helix Cerametalic clutch and Aim dash watch this space.
