| Re: astra gt35r With theese cams and this turbo revs easy at 9000 rpm.
I would prefer cams at 260-270.

he will know where to get the bearings your after or should do.
good to see you havent gone huge on the exhaust ports. thought may of been close inlet size to breaking through into water/oil ways |

| Re: astra gt35r Honestly guys..
a well tuned engine should have same register, turbo or non turbo.
of course it´s easy to leave camadjustments and get a very revhappy engine.
(but i should take it easy above 8300-8500rpm with std oilpump.)
If you let it take some time in dyno to adjustcamshafts you can gain HUGE amount of torque even with those camshafts.
mine 272´s has almost as much liftarea as your camshafts.
(how long the valves stays at full lift under duration)
if i run my camshafts in for example DesktopDyno2000 they should rev a the way to 10300rpm... but they do not.
my engine has peak power just before 7800rpm.. around 7400 actually. |

I think now the most important with this cam is a very good engine management. |

| Re: astra gt35r What a wonderfull project!!!!!!
il sera très rapide!
I have some curisosity about some special parts...
why you choice the X20XER cranck? It is stronger?
The bottom griddle is standard or customized?
The Engine mount kit is for F28, correct? Where you buy it? It is standard or special?
Where do you fit the oil spray cooling jet? And where you buy these?
Thanks, Luca |

(sometimes i went in France for business: very close to the Pyrenees...wonderfull place)
Do you have a picture about where you fit the oil spray colling jet, please?
It is very interesting
You fit the original lower chassis of the astra, correct?
I'm thinking about to fit the lower chassis of the calibra turbo that has the space for the F28 mount: what do you think about?
Ciao ! |
