then got the hydraulic tappets cleaned filled and put in then put the cams in and fitted the cam belt ones on the scuttle panel are old crud ones




filled it with oil and turned it over by hand to prime the pump and get some oil circulating .oil was flowing nicely round the cams so its picking up fine

checked filled and put new boots on all of my CV joints event used the proper clips which Ive always binned in favor of cable ties but i bought the proper tool to fit them and they are excellent and have a far superior grab over ties



no more CV grease every were



these are the disks ill be using metro vented grooved and drilled disks





and heres the hubs ready for new bearings and ball joints and my nice tidy working area so much easier if things are kept tidy I'm learning slowly on this i always have crap every were but this makes a job easier and quicker in the long run




and fitted new track rods to my steering rack

cheers mate hows ures getting on dont know weather to put this car back on the road or just get a runaround and use this for trackdays and bang some more money into the engine ie rods pistons cam and a head ???

bloke who i gave a injector too over a month ago rang me and said he'd done them ages ago even tho id rung him ???


fitted them but unsure how to secure them



fitted a longer clutch cable and it works a treat



then i turreted my rear arches to lower the ride and have decent suspension travel made my own by using 1.6 mm rolled steel and 2.4mm top plate

i made the 5" circle and then straitened out the back as i think this makes a better design


i have offset top mount coilovers but when Ive been paid wll get some avos off 46 hopefully

after i think it looks loads better ignore the complete mess was taking a head off my mates Xe corsa at the same time





before was the coilovers as low as they would go down now there at there highest

ohh and ive got myself a set of slicks

this it the modded pedal box fitted and the clutch cable coming into the front of the pedal

the other pedal ha been modified so the master cylinder no longer points vertically due to the throttle bodies being there

i'd lock tite the injector bungs in, get high strength stuff won't go any where.

ok a nice smear of lock tight to keep them in it is then then ,ill lightly key the bungs should stick then cheers pal

got the boot floor and turrets all wrapped up now and am happy with it
mite put a fiberglass floor in at some point but would like to keep some weight and strength in the back i can pic up the car with ease on the ass end lol




i also welded in a new rear valance but haven't got a picture

i then made a coil bracket to hold the coil that matches my 4 pin coil pack and installed my loom for the mbe management getting there now




and the stance of the car now I'm so much happier with this as i have a low center of gravity low engine hight i will raise the front a tad to get the drive shaft angles a little better but so far I'm really happy

CHEERS MATE yeah im loving the stance now just waiting on my corsa c eps steering colum and then power steering can go in thats the interior finished then its on to wiring and engine start time

got my corsa c eps unit thrue with a modded ecu to adjust the assist


modded the ujs to go thrue the pedals rubs on the brake slightly tho


then built part of the spaceship enterprise to hold the top






and Ive also tagged my cage to the shell with strengthening plates


also got a new windscreen to fit

also got my big bore sbd manifold thrue off the bay proper bargain

needs a litle modding to fit pukka but for what i paid im happy

well done, looking good, i was in the process of doing this two years ago till some sh*t stole my mini.......off my drive of all places

theiving scum bags .. hope to get the manifold sorted today and the 2 1/2 system to the rear in .i also have got the fuel lines to connect to my fuel rail so hopfully will be running soon james

manifold now links to a 2 1/2" system just need to cut and fit the silencers when i buy them
only got about a 1nch ground clearance tho :0 mite have a play to pick up the system but dont want to alter the manifold so mite just leave it as it is

now need to run fuel lines and plumb it the tank and start up the engine hopfully

I'm back took a bit of time off this as was working on it but not enjoying it at all hated the thing for a while and lost all enthusiasm

but Ive started again Ive run a starter and charging loom all soldered and heat shrunk by a mate who does electronics for Mitsubishi so thats all working pukka and the car now turns over . also got him to sort out the wiring for my power steering and that all works now so i now have ignition off a switch then a push button start with adjustable corsa c column ticking on perfectly . Ive ordered all of my connectors i need for the mbe management and Ive order Teflon lined stainless braided fuel hose to run inside the car much better than copper i think I'm currently modifying the cross member as i don't like the bar one i made feels weak and don't want any sub frame flex from that area to completely change suspension geometry mid corner :0 hopefully i will be trailering it to a show some lads my way are going to at pod at the start of august with the target of running it up the strip
