About LinkBacksyeah people have done it but with throttle bodies they only put out the same power as a xe standard + with the lighter frame than orginal and the fiberglass front my car should weigh slightly less than the original weight with the 998 in there

got the engine all bolted up
thought its way too big lol
droped it in the car yesterday
then i put the front on
loads of room lol
im chuffed i can get a un molested xe exhaust manifold in there what you think guys

how much of the mini subframe is left do you have a pic with no engine in it

Looking good! You could run megajolt and throw the dizzy away and use a coil pack, Cheaper than MS.

yeah i thought about this but i mite want to go bike throttle boddies at a lata date or maybe even some nice jenveys
update but my camaera rufuses to connect to the pc i now have a single skin fibergalss boot and fiberglass doors all fitted now mega light weight just still not sure what to get to give my engine spark

dta ｣600
i want throttle boddies in the future so mite bite the bullet and got dta

ive now got management throttle boddies so the carbs are for sale
got some good progress todaygod was it cold outside tho lol
firstly i finished smothing off my filler cap as im running a internal one i started by welding in a plate and skimed over the top im impressed with the results
i then just blasted a bit of black on as primer is still a little porus dont want any rust getting anywere ever again lol
then as im running a internal master cilinder pedal box and it was made out of the car i thought it would have been easyer to mod the bulkhead rather that the pedal box as it rubbed
firstly i welded in a box i made
quick clean up with the grinder and then seam sealed
finally getting a bit further thank god lol

it was the treated to a red oxide primer and stone chipped not looking for a perfect finish i wanna rant this round a track and no care to much if it gets the odd scratch here and there
i thebn welded on some tabs to hold on my flip front welded them the seam seald and painted up dont want any water creaping inside my inner arch now do i lol
this is the modified pedal box as the standard one fouled the throttle bodies so now the cylinder is inside with a remote reservoir
this is using a girling cylinder
dont worry rivet aint staying
if i grip tape the pedals like they do in kit cars is this likely to give me any mot drama ?? cheers James

just finishing off rebuilding my gear linkage ill get pics up after the paints dried hopefully ill have a precise a gear change as possible but will probs goe rose jointed at a later date
gear linkage is nearly finished
i cleaned up the linkage and smoothed off some Pitts in the ball to stop premature wear on the plastic cups and gave it a paint up you can see in the pics the nylon bushes that go in the center as the crappy rubber standard ones were shagged
i also emery clothed the inside of these links as the were pitted and full of crap
i re fitted the parts using new cups and its luvley and tight
and this is the top rod that has been filled with a hard mastic to stop any flex in this bit Ive still gotta paint it
everything feels much tighter and Ive got no play in it so well happy

plans for the next few weeks are to
get my throttle boddie manifold made up im using cbr 1100 throttle boddies
space and link up the throttle linkages
find a 2.0 8v sump pick up and mount that to my block with a 8v sump and gasket for extra clearance
heat wrap manifold
turret rear shocks to accept normal coilovers ive got offset top mounts on mine and dont like the look of them at all
fit front but i need to modify my front crossmember first
then i can start messing on with the bonnet and mounting it
ohh also want to tag my cage to the a pillars
then after that the subframe and engine are cumming back out so i can start prepping the shell for a respray
