Re: clean nova gsi turbo conversion

Time for an update I think, had a lot going on since the summer which has meant no time to work on the car. The pics so far do not do it justice, they were taken as I'd just finished it and it was a rush job really, just needed tidying up in the bay.

Done some jobs like wrapping the dp and making a heatshield between the turbo and rad.

The dp was painted with black vht paint before refitting.

Here are a couple more pics of the bumper, I,ve spayed the ic black, just need to add some mesh to match the grille and a full size laguna splitter as the old one is too small. Also some paint on it would be nice and a chrome strip to match the rear one.

However, Its all done now, Its all worked fine and I've had 6 months use out of it and had only a couple of minor problems - eaten 2 fuel pump relay's and fryed the alternator at USC. Was well pissed off with this as the car was running very well, boosting 1.2 bar and holding 11.7 afr's. Grip is excellent and hits 140 very quickly.

The turbo started smoking, not surprised as it had been stood unused for years before I got it. took it out for a spin today and the turbo has seized from all the burned oil so NO BOOST!

I'll take some more pics tomorrow and get a proper update on this.
