Rob i thought you might have a similar problem mate, not sure if its a solid mount thing or not holding engine tight or something, To be honest Rob they sent me just enough rod to do mine or you would of been welcome to have it, as i called them and they sent me two end sleeves and a lenth of rod, which was about 7" and i used all but about 2" of what they sent.. in the end after talking to the yechie down there we came up with the conclusion of making a rod up as all F20 conversions could vary in rod lenth depending on mounts and positions.
So i just made my own up measured tacked ends on tried shortend it a bit tried again untill i got what i wanted...

I suggest you do the same to be honest then you get it right dont you, i think they gave me the rod for free when i complained it would'nt work, so give that a try....

Had to push the bloody thing out of the garage today to get the engine crane out.

Looks like it sits way too high so looks like Ive been supplied with gravel spring instead of tarmac
Also noticed there is way too much camber on the front wheels - which i thought I'd sorted.

Getting well annoyed with it now as Ive no money and a problematic car - i knew it wasn't going to be easy but this is a joke.

Believe it or not there is over 20k sat there!!!

The front wings were part of the 'Kit car' kit, Iain at Eurorallye sells them separately.

Still need to buy exhaust, new springs, brake bells and caliper mounts, poly carb windows, my seat, harnesses, heated screen, tank guard, some more brake lines and oil cooler. So not much...........
Also be getting wired and the other bonnet sprayed when it goes back to old school engineering.

How much were your windows - liking the quality of them?

The black edging is actually semi gloss vynal tape.... and i added it after they were fitted...

Looked what arrived today!!! Finally!!!

Hi Rob, great job at first.

I have a corsa maxi kit car that I've just finished restoring and wait to the forrest rally comes in two weeks far.
I like to share and ask some particular info if you would like,
firstly, is there a particular reason to choose spring type hub clutch disc instead of solid type? I have used a six pairs of pads solid hub disc, I would like to hear yours and the other mates comments.

I use a sprung Helix plate as its less shock on the transmisson, i assume thats why Rob has too.

Azmi have you any pics of your rebuild?
