Its just a collection of bits at the moment mate! Didn't think there would be any point of an update.

On the plus side, in the pile of parts is an ECU and a fuel pump (Finally!!) Just need the bloke thats doing the brake bells to pull his finger out and get them finished. They are basically the finally piece of the puzzle. Once ive got those i can get the rest of the car built ready for a trip to Old School Engineering for wiring and an exhaust.

Oh, ive put some real carbon fibre (adhesive backed) on the door bars so i dont mark the paint getting in and out - ill post some pictures later.

Bought a sheet of 3m backed carbon and cut into strips.

As soon as i get chance ill post some pictures of my fuel pump. Its an uprated one that fits the standard holder inside the tank. This way i can do without an extra swilpot.

Next year mate. My sister is getting married next year (March) abroad, so saving for that as its now turned into a 3 weeks holiday!! As soon as im back from that I can start doing events.
Also the wife will back at work so the bank balance will be healthy again!

Not sure about pendragon. What you doing next year mate - read somewhere you'll be picking and choosing your events?

On ebay rick. Worked out about £18 plus postage - just enough of a sheet to do it all.

Mira (cracking venue)

Epynt (not been before)

Richard Burns (didnt do it this year due to NE tar champ)

Jim Clark

Isle of Man or Ireland

Crail ( good venue and you can stretch the cars legs a bit)

Otterburn maybe been there loads hard not to as its on the doorstep.



Think thats about it at the min, however like most best laid plans we shall see

Cheers Dave! Yeah also bought a peltor intercom and 12v convertor (as they should run on a 9v battery) and a pair of practice headsets for road sections.

Oh and Oliver loved the headset!!!!!

dave them headsets are for when the helmet is off, for communication on road sections basically.

carbon strips look like a good solution, i'll keep it in mind for when my car is finished. door bars are looking worn already but will repaint when its all done

Yeah, what Kenny said. Some rallys have longer road sections than stages! Its actually illegal to wear a helmet in a car on the road. As the intercom is in the helmet and the car is so loud inside we'll use the other headsets.

Cant remeber and ive searched ebay to find them again - there not there!

Just get the biggest you can get. I also bought another sheet to do the rear roll cage bars so the when the spare is in it also wont mark.

I was going to use black vinyl originally as ive seen some nice rally cars with marked to fcuk door bars.

They came with the intercom mate! and ive always wanted a set, also ive been in a car with a dog box - and they're loud!

Should be getting the brakes next week (hopefully) then once all together its off to wales............

PROGRESS!!!!!!

Started to fit the fuel pump.

Started with all the standard housing.


Then modifed to fit the new uprated pump (Walbro)

Also my tank gaurd arrived the other day.

Then mounted the fuel pump



Also the pump came with another pre-filter

Then mate the standard wiring to the new



All done, ready to fit.

Finished, all in place.

The tank gaurd goes over the tank and its all mounted up using the original straps - which are not that easy to fit

Brake bells and brakets are back from anodising tomorrow - so they are finally ready for colletion..............wait and see!
