rob what offset wheels are you running on the corsa
Hi,
The TH2 are ET49 and the MO are ET50 (think ill run 10mm spacers with these)
cheers

thanks, i have tried et 49 17" on mine in the last couple of days and they wont clear the callipers (brembo) i have to use a 8mm spacer to get them anywhere near the et38 are fine though which is what yours will be somewhere near if you run a 10mm spacer.
What 17in wheels did you try? Compos and speedlines have generous clearence. I could be wrong but ET49 to ET38 is 110mm difference? Where ET50 to ET49 is 10mm difference.
My ET50 wheels sit further in than the ET49 so im guessing your ET38 would stick out more giving you that extra clearance.
Any pictures of your car - Always nice to see other kit/maxi corsas
cheers

pics on way mate just getting some early ones put in to folder not very good qaulity im afraid as taken with mobile (early ones) back to wheels the offset is the distance form the centre line of the rim measured forward to the inner bolting face of the wheel so if you run spacers you are automatically adding material to that face which reduces offset by spacer amount. most front wheel drive cars have a positive offset from 1mm to 50mm the best i can run is et42 with no spacer befvore i start catching face of calliper this is on both th3 and mo style rims have a set off team dynamic rims et38 these are shown in photos, i spose if i have widened car 100mm on front the original vauxhall offset of 49 is imiterial anyway.
heyyyyyyyy
happy happy me![]()

Thanks Azmi.
He was born on the 7th of April! Everything went ok and he's now home. Its been three weeks of no sleep!!!!!Im sure he'll start learning night time is for sleeping!!lmao
Went to Motordrive last week to get measured for my bucket seat. Should arrive in 2-3 weeks.
Still waiting for a few bit and bobs. Ill put an update as stuff arrives.
Hows your car now?
Rob

Good news mate
My mom told me that, it took a while to learn the night times for a sleep for me.
Thanks for asking, actually last month passed very fast. I prepared two prototype cars (one consumes hydrogen, other on alcohol) for shell eco marathon in germany with my students. We sent them to germany two days ago. In this period of time I lost my camshafts between my office and home. First to do, I have to find them then start to bring the engine together. I have made many many computer simulations with lotus engine analyzer for my engine but all the results say the torque and power come after 7000 rpm. I think this is a bit high for 280/284 degree cams. I hope there is an error in my modelling. I will start to post things soon again.
Execuse me if you pointed before but I like to ask, in what kind competitions will you drive your car?
best wishes,
azmi

Its going to be used as a tarmac (Asphalt) car. I intend to do rallys such as the Jim Clark memorial rally and the Epynt ranges rally.
Would love to take it over to the Isle of Man and Isle of Mull, see how the £££ go?
Your other projects sound interesting, how did you get into that?
All the best with your corsa mate

The air intake is from Pro Tec, sit down for the price!! They also do a fiberglass version which is a bit less but not alot!
The kit is Bonnet intake, throttle body box as lowered slam panel.

I know a bit about all the rallies you mentioned from BRC DVDs. I hope you can afford it to go to manx (actually I hope the same for myself but..)I wonder your bucket seat will meet with the homologation regulations?
My other projects come from my university job. I really enjoy to build any type of cars even prototypes, Shell eco marathon is a right place you can show what can you do in this area. But corsa is still my best boy.
best wishes,
azmi

Merhaba!!
(thats the only bit of Turkish i know - which i picked up on one of my holidays!!lmao)
Sounds like an great job! Any pictures of them?
All the best with those!
Yeah Motordrive are homologated. They basically have three shell sizes. Luckly i just fitted in the tall! They then add/take away padding and cushions to suit you body shape.
All for the same price as a Sparco 'off the shelf' seat. Just take 2-3 weeks to make.

I put here two pictures of our projects, hydrogen and petrol/alcohol powered cars. And also a link to last years travel and competition video. I hope you'll enjoy.

Thats good news. All the power at 7000rpm like you mentioned wouldn't be that good without a sequential box, oh and a 15000rpm revl imit!!!
