Sort of but also gav has the ability to do a decent job of the painting. He has a DA etc and a welder. None of which i have. I could pay someone to weld bits and bobs on it and then send it in to be DA'd and painted inside and out but it all adds up.

Have you masked that from the front of the shuts? I can't quite tell off the pictures? You should have reverse masked it for a better finish, granted not a big deal for a track car, I am just being a picky sod! lmao

The shut reveals have been etched,primed and painted already so it really does not matter.
£180 paint job will do me

It looks really well done fella and I am a qualified sprayer, albeit for Aeroplanes but even a nerd with binoculars won't spot a run at 30,000 ft! lmao

I meant as in you apply the tape to the back edge of the skin where the rubber goes, so the sticky side is pointing out and you then work it as normal but use the existing tape as the medium rather than the skin if you get me?

£180 is a right result, even though the colour looks like David Dickinsons bellend. (Joke! I haven't seen DD's bellend and I use sunbeds myself! )

Only problem i'm having is the amount of overspray with no extraction, you need a lot of air and not alot of paint to get it in to all the tight spot behind the cage and theres no other way of doing it. im happy and it better have an engine in by next week as I hate doing this bit
