Just read your feature in total vauxhall.

"Over the last seven and a half year adam's built one of the most powerful Cavaliers in the uk"

What commitment and more importantly what a statement.

Re: This years Cav Turbo rebuild...May 2008 (lol)

Ok so today was the day (around 5 months it's been)...to finally get the cav back to it's second home for sum medical help and lurv and on road to recovery!

Started off with seized brakes as its been sitting 5 months so that was awesome fun to move and get on the road to be towed by my most relaible car I've ever owned a FORD!

and finally after much enjoyment being towed at responsible speeds we were at the 2nd home for past 7 years

So first things first the to do list for today:

Get old funked turbo set-up off
Check oil and water feeds were all ok with flow etc
Put new turbo on old exhaust housing
Wack sum poly bushes in rack tie rods
Wack a new outside temp sensor under bumper
Swop 4 headlamps on morrettes for new ones
And a basic potter about what else needs fixing or re-newing etc etc etc.

Poorly Garrett gt3071r about to be binned

New Garrett gtx3071r about to be fitted

    Rotating

    Old turbo

    Old and new

After sum fiddle putting exhaust housing on finally all done rotated and ready to fit

While mike my mechanic was sorting that headache I had my own!

New lamps fitted they shall do they shall doooooo

Off to get us sum phooood a la chipshop!

I think every cav gsi/turbo owner shud check there tie rod/rack bushes now

thats it for now til monday got a list full of more crap to do
