Would only want a couple of hundred quid for the whole lot if you collected it, as it gets it out of my way and TBH I cant be arsed breaking it, its located near collumpton in devon though so maybe a little too far out of your way.
Anyway, drop me a PM when you notice the engine out if you are still interested, wont be for AGES yet though | Not fussed on distance, I travel all over the country for the right cars

Isn't a guy in PPC mag using the same engine in a 200sx with a Supra (Getrag Manual 'box) gearbox and a supercharger? If so it might be something to look at? |

It's a lot of engine for the money. It'd be cool to hear one on full chat without so many of the sliencers on it. |

| Re: My 4.0 Litre V8 Calibra build hi Chip,
I have a cavalier turbo spare in my garage, and one of my plans was to put my front end Damaged 1999 C43 AMG engine in it and RWD it. That was just a thought! now i have seen this thread i am starting to believe that it could be done!! My Merc lump is a 4.3L V8 AMG.
I will be interested to see your thread as it commences. As i needed to know a few things as no one has done a V8 conversion that i know of, in a c20let.
Maybe you could point me more into the right direction one day.
Thanks
Joby.

| Re: My 4.0 Litre V8 Calibra build mate of mine was on about one of these engines for his mk3 supra but he opted for a nice low miler mk4 win turbo lump instead, imo hes got no bollox
fair play for taking on yet another epic project, engine wise id have gone smallblock chevvy so much simpler and so cheap but hey i know of too many people building them engines so wouldnt be unique enough.

muchos luckos padre | Small block chevvy is heavier, which would make it harder to get it to handle, is no cheaper, and would give FAR worse MPG which with fuel prices these days you just cant ignore.
IMHO the extra complexity of the lexus engine is worth it, its an engineering masterpiece, where as a SBC is just a heavy crude old boat anchor of an engine really.
Dont get me wrong, I love their simplicity and they sound great, but I dont think they are the right engine for me, I want hi tech and sophisticated with screaming rpm and lightweight.

| Re: My 4.0 Litre V8 Calibra build Its in land cruisers mainly, but the thing is the one I have can easily be taken to 1000BHP if you have the budget for it, so there really isnt any need, as i'll never want more than 500 realistically, lol |
