Updates -

Car progress on hold because of the credit crunch

Battery is in the boot

Pace Products absolutely raped me for a oil tank and some pump brackets.

I ordered a external wastegate and its taken a ****ing age to turn up (about 3+ weeks now?) while Jamsport enjoy the sweet sweet interest on my money. *****

Re: Corsa C C20LET

really interesting work, im a fan now! the work done on the engine mounting is absolutly great. one question, i did some googling on dry sumps but still the question is: is it really worth doing the mod? price versus benifit? what are the advantages really? if oil does a big part on cooling engine, how will be temperatures now?

and how about power steering on the corsa, is it electrical built into column? are the cables on the gearbox flexible (possible to bend a little to fit nice), does it work well know?

sorry for all the questions!

cant wait to see more of this, really good work is being done, please go on!

Re: Corsa C C20LET

The main advantage of dry sumping is going around a corner hard and not worrying about the oil shifting to one side and causing surge.

Re: Corsa C C20LET

If I'm honest Lenox, I was offered the kit alot cheaper then rrp, did some research into the benefits of the system and decided to go with it. Little did I know about the the price of oil tanks, braided hose and aeroquip fittings back then :: :: - Like Rob mentioned the main advantage is to stop oil surge/starvation when giving it some proper death on track but there are other ways to combat this like a gated sump.

Power steering is electric!

The cables which are used to change gears are flexible to an extent but we havent laid it all out yet to see how it sgoign to fit, I was told by the guy who sold me the box and stick that it fits straight into a corsa c (I'm sure thats going to bite me in the arse!)

In all seriousness alot of money has been spent and I need to gather my funds together instead of living on my arse because of a car, progress should resume soon with more part shopping!
