| My 1995 Cavalier SRI Hatch Well, ever since I sold my 1.8 Cavalier runabout, I've been in desperate need of another car. I cant take my 1.4 Nova anywhere without fear of it being stolen, and I'll obviously never drive the Turbo Nova to work lol.
This came in to a friends dealership in Newcastle, however the dealership has an auction only policy for all trade in's, with no exceptions.
So I got the date/time of the auction, and flew into newcastle on tuesday morning, went to the auction and thankfully won the bidding
It's a 1995 2.0L 16v Ecotec SRI Cavalier. It's done a good honest 46k miles and it shows. The arches are perfect, the bodywork is straight. The only blemishs are a few bumper scrapes/gash's, and laquer peeling on the spoiler, and a little bit of pinkness to the paintwork, all of which will be sorted in due course.
Its just had a very very quick clean/polish, and interior hoovered/dusted. It was absolutely filthy when I got it home last night.
Plans are:
- Refurbish wheels (anyone recommend somewhere?)
- Refurbish brakes, new discs and pads
- Paint bumpers and spoiler
- Detail paintwork
- Get new mudflaps
- Get new interior mats
This should serve me well as a nice runabout for a while.

| Re: My 1995 Cavalier SRI Hatch A guy walked up to me after i'd won the auction, and congradulated me on buying the cleanest cavalier he'd seen in 5 years. And that was when it was still a little pink, and the interior was full of crap lol.

| Re: My 1995 Cavalier SRI Hatch Oh nice mate, same as mine when I bought it standard 12 months ago.
Good to see a non abused motor. Mines double the miles but still goin strong.
Will you keep it standard or mod it?

Will you keep it standard or mod it? | I'm keeping it standard, I may lower it 40mm, but other than that it'll stay 100% std.

| Re: My 1995 Cavalier SRI Hatch I'd reccomend a subtle lowering mate, mine handled like a barge with o.e equipment.
I know its only a daily driver but the old cavs can stand they're ground against newer cars... |

I agree with the second comment. The mk3 Cavalier was one of vauxhall's best ever car's IMO and is 10 times the car of the vectra's that replaced it.

I love a Cav SRi, had a Vectra SRi recently and in my eyes they will never equal a Cav! |

| Re: My 1995 Cavalier SRI Hatch Completely agree, I could've had countless vectra's when I was looking for mine but after test driving 1 I decided I wanted another cav, didn't expect to buy exactly the same car as I had back in 2001! lol.
The car I ended up with turned up forsale locally luckily. I knew its previous owners so I knew it was a good example. I've never looked back since. |
