My Corsa Turbo 4x4

hi all just thought that i would put my corsa 4x4 turbo on here for u all to look at and tell me what u think of it i started it about 7 months ago and just finished it a week ago i was only doing it on weekends and a few hours through the week here and there thats y it took so long. im going to run it standard for a few months then the engine's coming out and being striped down and rebuilt with steel rods under piston oil squirter's i'v got to get a wide band lambda sensor better injectors not sure which one's yet t3/t4 hybrid turbo i'v got the manifold and phase 4 chips and a adjustable fuel pressure gauge its got a bigger fuel pump on it. i'v got 2 get a another transfer box cuz the one that is on is f****d i brought it of ebay say no more there i have had to pull the fuse for it cuz it was making sum weird noises. i brought a calibra turbo for 550 bargain i only wanted it for engine but then i thought i would give putting the back axle of the calibra on to the corsa and it started there i pulled all the loom out the calibra so i could see were the wire's for the 4x4 ecu went that was easy enough to fit and get working next thing was the prop shaft so i went to see paul at just novas and corsa and brought is shorted shaft of him that he shorted for is 4x4 that he did next problem was the petrol tank so i had one made smaller to fit were the standard one went cuz i didnt want it in the boot. i had to put wide arch's on the back cuz the calibra axle is wider i put corsa c headlights in with a corsa c front bumper that i had to shorten by about 4'' it drives unbelievable the over night i took it out in the wet and u get pure grip no wheel spin at all that going up a hill as well thanks for looking i will add more another night.

i'v havnt put pics on before so i hope it works

Re: My Corsa Turbo 4x4

I don't like the styling at all, the front wheel looks completely wrong offset.

However if you have 4x4'd it yourself you are a hero amongst men. Fantastic stuff in such a short space of time, you shoule be very proud.

Get some floor shots up.

I have a headache from trying to read the first post without hardly any punctuation.

Pictures of rear differential look cool though.

Re: My Corsa Turbo 4x4

Let us hope we can read his post now:
hi all,

Jjust thought that I would put my corsa 4x4 turbo on here for you all to look at and tell me what you think of it.

Ii started it about 7 months ago and just finished it a week ago. I was only doing it on weekends and a few hours through the week here and there, thats why it took so long.

I am going to run it standard for a few months then the engine's coming out and being striped down and rebuilt with steel rods, under piston oil squirter's. I've got to get a wide band lambda sensor.

T3/T4 hybrid turbo with the manifold and phase 4 chips and an adjustable fuel pressure gauge its got a bigger fuel pump on it.

I have got to get a another transfer box because the one that is on is f****d, I brought it of ebay say no more there. I had to pull the fuse out as it was making sum weird noises.

I brought a calibra turbo for 550dollars bargain (That is terrible) I only wanted it for the engine but then I thought why not put the rear axle of the calibra on to the corsa and make it into a 4 x 4, it started from there.

I pulled all the loom out the calibra so i could see were the wire's for the 4x4 ecu went that was easy enough to fit and get working next thing was the prop shaft so i went to see Paul at Just Novas and Corsa and brought a shorted drive shaft of him that he shorted for this 4x4.

Next problem was the petrol tank so I had one made smaller to fit were the standard one went because I didnt want it in the boot. I had to put wide arch's on the back cuz the calibra axle is wider.

I put corsa c headlights in with a corsa c front bumper that i had to shortend by about 4'' it drives unbelievable .

Then over night I took it out in the wet and you get pure grip no wheel spin at all, even going up a hill as well.

Thanks for looking & reading. I will add some more pictures words some other time.

Re: My Corsa Turbo 4x4

The Vx 4x4 system is sometimes affectionately known as 3wd (mainly by Chip) as it's not exactly the best system ever produced.
