also do you have any pics of the reinforcement for the rear subframe, correct me if im wrong but it looks simply bolted to sheet metal??
loving the ghetto twin exit | it did have one on but fell of a few weeks ago iv got to put one back on,
trust me mate its far from being bolted to a sheet of metal there is a frame welder up from 6mm tubing and bars, then i box's it all in with sheet metal , if sum one ran in to the back of me its going to kill the front of there car lol.
as for the pics i had them on my camera but they were deleted by an accident... thats wot she said lol |

| Re: My Corsa Turbo 4x4 im putting this post on hear cuz im getting loads of emails asking how i did it
i used the complete back axle of a calibra hence the reason for the wide arches, but with doing this i had to fit calibra front hubs to match the 5 stud axle, so the hubs had to be machined down with different wheel bearings fitted to fit on the corsa.
i did cut the complete floor from the back of the calibra to behind the front seat, i was going to cut the corsa one out and fit the calibra one in, but that seemed a lot of work, so i welded new mounting points for the calibra axle to fit to, this alone took a lot of time and measuring cuz they had to be bang on. i had to have a smaller tank made up to fit under the car i didn't want a tank in the boot. the prop shaft has to be shortened i got hold of one already done. the engine has to set lower so that the prop shaft can connect to the transfer box, but not to low cuz the gear box will hit the tie bars, you have to make up your own mount and mounting point for the rear mount. the wiring for the 4wd that is the easy part to do, as long as you get a calibra below a l reg i think it is, anything above that it would be a lot more difficult cuz the speed sensor run of the abs, you have to use the calibra brake switch cuz its a make and brake circuit switch, or you can just buy a locked transfer box then you dont need the 4x4 ecu |

the styling is a bit 2 fast 2 furious stylee for me, but thats what modification is all about, its making the car how YOU want it, only a fool would spend all their hard earned making a car look how someone else wanted! besides, il bet with that styling you get all the 17yr olds in their mums cars tryin to race u at the lights...haha

i am rebuilding the engine in a few months, big turbo steel con rods and all the rest so it going to wait to then so i can have a 3'' system built for it.
the car only does about 1 mile a day just to get me to the gym thats way im happy to wait |

if u want me to go in to detail about a ****ing exhaust it was done with a mig not a gas less one but it had ran out of gas, as for the exhaust its made up from steal, stainless steal and aluminum, bits and bobs laying around like i said, the wire that we had in the welder is for mild steal not stainless or alloy, none of the exhaust was cleaned up before welding! |

| Re: My Corsa Turbo 4x4 I luagh at this,...
Many time I've come on MIG to see people asking about 4x4 corsas and users teling them it's too much work, better off doing something else,.
Someone has come on, who has built a 4x4 turbo corsa, which to me looks like he's put a lot of time and effort into ans all people can do is bitch about it,
Who cares if the exhaust isn't perfect? It's been explained
The bodywork isn't to everybodies taste, but thats also been explained to be functional.
IMO he's done an amazing job,
Credit where credit is due, and stop moaning about the welding on the bloody echaust. |
