Found a stray wire in the loom that had been chopped and replaced with a different colour, a quick look through the book found that it was the earth for the fuel pump relay!
Earthed it to the bulkhead which helped a bit! Then ran a new earth straight from the battery to the bulkhead and a new one straight from the battery, along the scuttle and straight to where the brown and black one is earthed. Hey presto.

What do you reckon the corsa has cost you so far? If you dont mind me asking that is. I fancy a corsa project next but have a few things to consider. |

| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa Let's do some sums!
Corsa 1.2
£125
Engine, box, shafts...etc
£150
Inlet manifold
£125
Tyres
£175
Valves and head-gasket
£75
-60mm Spax kit
£100
Spent a lot on odds and sods, but it's not cost me an awful lot so far. In hindsight I should have bought a running 1.6 Corsa and stripped it out, but this has been much more fun!
In total I'd guess somewhere around the £700 mark, but some of it was un-necessary (inlet manifold, 8v flywheel...etc). All I really need to buy now is some discs and pads for the front and I've got everything I need to finish it. |

256mm x 24mm. Calipers are from a 2.0 Calibra I think, just need some new discs and pads. |

Plus you've had the added bonus of being able to say you mostly did it yourself. Far more kudos in that than just buying one already built. |

| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa Just ordered some Mintex discs and pads.
Unsure of whether to use the Mintex on the Cavalier and put the Cav's old stuff on the Corsa or put the Mintex on the Corsa.
Hmmmmm! I use the Cavalier every day, seems a shame to waste a set of good stuff on a shonky Corsa. |

it'll feel wicked it's a nice change - chucking a little car about, after driving bigger boatyer cars, especially with the extra poke every time i need to use my dads passat to get bits for my car, i cant wait to get back in mine again!.. Then sit there and think to my self "i've broken it again. but i LOVE it"
