I assume you used your MIG card for trade prices? Just to confirm, that engine is a late GSi X16XE

| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa To make it easier when ordering parts, i just order everything for a 1.6 16v Tigra...
As they only have X16xe's fitted
No confusion then. |

Plus, at a dealer, I can look at the screen, point out what bits I want...etc. I get cheapness anyway as I'm a regular. I think they can tell I'm going to be annoying buying bits for this engine.

| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa Inlet manifold in the post, courtesy of Flame from CS. Top bloke and very helpful.
My bits have arrived at the dealer too. Does anyone know if the big end bolts are stretch bolts? I want this piston out to clean up the bore, but I can only buy big end bolts in bags of ten, and apparently there are two sorts. If they're not stretch bolts I can just re-use them. |

| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa I think they are, but re-use them anyway. You'd be surprised how many bolts are stretched ones on an engine that get re-used regularly. |

I really appreciate it man, and your directions were spot on. Quote:

In fact, they squeak something terrible because I never use them properly. They've probably glazed over and I've never braked hard enough to clear them up again.
They looked good when I got the car, and there's still a fair bit of pad left. |
