Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa

Not strictly Corsa-related, but in the spirit of keeping my fans updated, I thought I'd treat you to some photos I've taken this evening of Mitsimog!

(It's half Mitsubishi L200 and has Unimog axles)

12 pages on it!

Looking back at the photos it seems like I only took photos of the bits that interested me!

Also spotted this sneaky looking Nova.

1.6 8v with R1 carbs. Obviously not fitted yet!

Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa

We did!

Fiddly little ****ers. We were going to have the exhaust valves out, clean them up and replace the stem seals, but after this evening's fannying about I don't think I can be bothered!

Just won these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=130223945082

Will pick them up tomorrow on the way home from Silverstone.

Picked these little beauties up today for 99p!

Good God they're disgusting, but offer far more lateral support than the standard seats. Fingers crossed they'll mate up to my little corsa subframes.

Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa

Nce seats. I have a pair of them in my lounge, round the computer desk, I'm sat in the driver's one right now, from my 5 door GTE (so dead rare!).

Looks like it's coming along nicely.

Mmmmmm, comfy. Mr. Chimp just popped round to borrow my valve spring compressor and we tested them out. They are a million times better than the standard seats, even if they do smell a bit!

Back in bed.

Great progress dude! Rertro seating too.

IMO bin the rears but cut out the fabric covers. Pretty desirable to someone wanting to repair a worn seat.

Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa

I haven't got loads of space for storing stuff, but they're here if anyone wants them.

DJ is sorting me out some 256mm calipers, and Mr. Chimp reckons he's got some 256mm disks and pads somewhere.

I'll have parts from every Mig legend soon!

Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa

Today's ordering:

- Head bolts
- Cam belt
- Small idler pulley

Loads of money! Genuine stuff is expensive. Spent ages looking at EPC trying to work out which engine I have, whether it's the C16XE or the X16XE. I was convinced that the C16XE had bigger valves, and I've just put X16XE valves in mine? But the Corsa GSI had a C16XE, the X16XE was in the Sports, according to the parts guy.
