| Re: Project Deathtrap: Jack's 1.2 Corsa Engine going in this weekend all being well.
I want to get the engine running nicely before I do anything else to the car. Once that's in and working, I can hack apart the dash and fit the digidash and get my transducer working with the ECU.
Then I can fit my Spax suspension that arrived today (but no-one was in ), my 256mm brakes and my sexy wheels. |

I don't have any no claims.
If I was that fussed about insuring a modified car then I wouldn't have bothered building it. |

Was going to do some more to the car today, but I've just got back from messing with a straw walker on a combine and it's too bloody hot to do anything. |

Feel a bit more confident about the wiring now I've been and had a look. It was pretty dark, so I took some photos with the flash so I could have a look when I got home.
I've sorted the clutch cable out and adjusted it all up too. The pedal feels lovely.
The little nugget in it's bed. Looks dead cosy in there!
Clutch cable in and adjusted up. Feels very nice!
I guess this is where the alternator/starter loom plugs into the car loom?
What's this random plug that's on the same bit of car loom?
This is the ECU-end of the X16XE loom. The black plug on the left is the one I'll be using to interface with the car loom, am I right?
This is the business end. Needs tidying up desperately.
The little engine in it's new home. The shell is a bit crusty in places as you can see in this picture. I'm tempted to get a few cans of primer and a few of red and try and dress it up as best I can. A lot of it is just surface rust, but if I can nip it in the bud now...
Sexy interior! |

Got plenty of things to do. I can't wait to turn the key and start it up for the first time.
I need to make a bit of loom for my ignition sensor ring too. |
