thats another one of my 'things to do' list.
need to book it in at a garage yet to get the engine looked at, to see if it is the knock sensor thats gone.

the chap who trailered it home for me yesterday, listened to the engine, and said that he could hear an ever so slight mis-fire on idle.

hopefully she'l be fine though, as i went for a test drive in it, and i could hear no rattles/knocks from the engine, and it was running very smoothly indeed.

cheers

Re: my new cavalier 2.5 V6 CDX manual!

all switches/bulbs are being sent off this weekend to be changed to blue ones.

also, the engine will be heavily modified to increase power, with 3 litre cams, chipped ECU, enlarged throttle body, ported/flowed inlet manifold & heads, 4 bar FPR etc etc

shall get some new pics up on the weekend aswell.

What next then? Any other not-perfomance mods in plans? Are you willing to attend PVS to show of your car then with other club?

this mon/tues i will be:

removing bump strips off doors/wings
fit oval side repeaters
fit all the alloy stuff to interior
fit the vectra colour coded door handles
fit the trip computer to the dash (once found where the loom is)
removed the blaupunkt CD player
fit the headlamp eyebrows
remove the speedometer ready for white dials + blue bulbs
re-fit all the dash switches
fit the centre consol armrest

plus much more. just cant think what atm lol.

then all thats left really is fit the cav turbo front leathers, the 5 spoke veci SRI alloys, and the oval backbox when it arrives in the post.

then all i need to do is make a start on the engine!

yer i want to get it ready for PVS, and have it on a club stand if possible.

should take me a week tops to strip the engine done, port+polish the heads + throttle body + inlet, put it all back together, change the cambelt + tensioners + waterpump, put the 4bar FPR on, and fit the G cams.

well im hoping it will take less than a week anyway.
ive got 3 weeks til PVS anyway, if not longer, so thats plenty of time.
