Making My Marque!... Vauxhall Astra GSI Resto In Progress

Current progress is detailed below and I will try to keep it up to date along with my other threads. Previous progress can be found here .
Only have a look if you have lots of time as its up to 45 pages so far!

So, where were we? ah oh yes, cleaning the internal welds.....

More Test fitting

Cut some of the bumper brace to allow the hose to sit properly.

I scraped the paint off the bottom cross member as I wasn't happy with it, I then
cleaned up and filled some of the welds to make them look "prettier"

Rather late picture of the new flexible brake hoses courtesy of Chris from Chris
Astley Motorsports

I re fabricated the bracket for the power steering reservoir and added the
auxiliary charge cooler rad header tank to it.

Then once AGAIN I had to re-think things for rad mounting as I hadn't yet included
the power steering pipes/cooling loop.
In the end it just involved a bit of pipe bending and moving the charge cooler
aux rad to the front of the fabricated mounts, as opposed to behind them to make
room for the cooling loop.

I then fitted and cut the oil cooler pipes so I can work out how much flexi hose
I have to add in for them.

Hopefully get some more done tomorrow, just trying to work out where stuff goes
before the engine bay gets sprayed (whenever that is!) to stop me stressing!

yup. no kidding! Had an "episode" in nov 2003 and this has been my mainstay in the past to keeping me focused. Trouble is as I got better the work was slowing down
Managing to balance the two a bit better now
