Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

you cant buy the plug you need but you can cut it off another car that has the same type and wire it to the square green plug on eht LET loom. then you'll be able to plug a code reader in. i assumed you had the LET loom ecu wired up to the dash ecu light. you could always wire the LET ecu light to a seperate bulb, its a piss easy job. then you'll know if the LET ecu is throwing out codes aswell as the rest of the car.

is it the oil cooler connection washers you need? Vauxhall do them for a couple quid. is it leaking that bad that you cant even see if the thing fires up lol

the corsa plug is different to the plug that the LET loom uses as its interface. the LET loom plug is only a ten pin plug. easy to wire in though and you could get one from a scrappy from an old cavy or astra or something with an older engine in - none of this canbus pish

Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

did you do the wiring on your own corsa? where did you wire the ignition switched feed from the LET loom to on the corsa loom? how do you get the clocks to keep working?

yes i did wire my car m8... ign live on the let loom went 2 the ign live on the corsa-c loom.. wiv the gauges...
speedo is ran from a sensor that is by the driverside driveshaft end
rev gauge-- u hav 2 splice off the crank position sensor. so it goes 2 the let ecu and the corsa-c ecu at the same time..
water temp gauge--- on the thermostat where there are 2 connections.. 1 for the ecu on the let loom and 1 for the gauge on the let loom.. remove the 1 that goes 2 the gauge .. and drill it out.. then run a tap in it so it will take the cors-c temp sensor.. easy as that

Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

aye that doesnt sound overly taxing really. got any knowledge about puting a z20let in? im leaning more towards that just for the fact its newer

did you have to install the speedo setup yourself or is that standard gear?

Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

mainly electronic related stuff - mating the engine loom to the car loom and making it all communicate properly. im confident i can mount the engine/box easily and with the right pointers could wire it but the canbus gear is new to me, its always older engines ive been used to sticking in novas and corsa Bs, so at least some starting tips would be helpful.

ok so would you say its safe to say that the fuel rail has fuel but the injectors arent opening to allow it into the chamber?

if so you'll need to check the injectors power feed. each injector has a red/blue wire - this is the 12v +ve feed from the fuel pump relay. use a volmeter and make sure you are getting 12v to the red/blue wire.

cant check the earths as the ecu switches the earth to energise the injector so its pretty hard to check without a really good meter or a scope but just make sure your 3 ecu loom earths are on the rail and intact.

you could also check the 12v feed is actually comeing away from the relay base itself aswell. its the thin red/blue coming from the relay base

Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

no its not the wire going to the pump. thats the thick red/blue coming out the relay base. its the thin red/blue coming out of the relay base you want to check. iirc its number 87 on the base and number 8 on the relay itself. And aye just put the ignition on and check you are gettin 12v +ve out of that wire. it feeds a load of sensors on the engine, not just the injectors so if thats goosed....

Re: my corsa-c c20let conversion

they pipes are common. my nova was murder at one point, covered the whole inside of the wheel. took ages to clean it. some new washers will see that sorted though. and if that other bolt is leaking stick some ptfe tape round the threads to help bolster the seal cause i dont think you can buy that seal seperate.
