My GSI Replica Build - Get Low!!!

Hey Everyone this is my 1st car and the 1st time I have joined anything like this so try not to be too harsh with Critisism.

I Bought this car for £700

It is a 1.2L 8 valve Corsa Breeze

I have to love the reg and it so easy to remember

Before i bought the car I already knew what way I wanted it to look pretty much.

I wanted it to be a Replica of the GSI model and have a set of 16" Irmscher Softstar wheels.

So these were the first things which I bought for the car I bought a Vauxhall Corsa GSI front bumper off eBay - The front bumper is all I got for now as I will buy the side skirts when I can save some more money

Then I bought the wheels brand spanking new off Vauxhall and got them rapped in some nice rubber too

The Wheels trial fitted on the car

Looks really good with the wheels but it will need lowered - probably going to lower the car 50mm in the front and 40mm in the back

Next I bought a set of Kicker components and decided to cut out the tweeter hole and mount the tweeter like this

Next was some more things which I decided to buy

Ripspeed DVD player with IPod connectivity

New set of number plates

The DVD player, a sump gasket, some switches and LEDs, and a seat cover

Some paint, a beesting aerial, front wiper blades and some carbon fibre sheeting and my lovely sock in the picture

Also not pictured - I bought chrome rings for around my dials, red LED dash conversion kit and a new rear wiper arm

Next the car was away to get sprayed at my dads work. He works as a HGV driver but his boss has a sprayer working to him who is a reli good worker and does an excellent paintjob

So as the car was getting sprayed the gorgeous wheel trims were back on

Next are pics of the striping

Also notice the K&N Air Filter forgot to mention that above

Next was the Rubdown process

Matthew the sprayer rubbing down the bumper

Next was the Primer stage

The bumpers, GSI spoiler and other bits and pieces primed for colour coding

Finally the finished piece!!!

Love this view

Hole for Cold Air Feed to K&N

Dont worry there will be alot more to follow Cant wait to make more progress on this build

cold air feed isn't the best tbh

Will be nice once its lowered with the softstars on; they would look lovely in black aswell

Numberplates are hideous, and not to mention illegal. Stick with standard font, all be it abit smaller if you must. As a first car you want to try and avoid the police, not encourage being stopped

Re: My GSI Replica Build - Get Low!!!

Well I haven't updated this in ages. There has been a good bit done since last time.

I got my LEDs which I bought off eBay

And I recieved my Chrome rings for the Dials and my wiper blade

Then my uncle valeted the car and it turned out excellent

^^^ That pictures would have looked amazing if it have the bad boy bonnet ^^^

That was all for that week then the next week I spent my time sorting out the dash with the carbon fibre

And knowing how ****ty Ripspeed stuff is my DVD Player ****ed up so I decided to change to a ///Alpine Ipod Control Player and got some Pioneer 6x9 speakers for the back

The Finished dash turned out like this:

And Finally got round to buying my springs and they arrived already... Bought them off Potn and order them on monday and they arrived next day 1st class

They are 50mm drop in the front and 40mm drop in the rear

I hope to get these fitted next weekend after its MOT on saturday morning.

And finally a few more pictures from last weekend and today

Yea if you read threw the thread ul see that they had it stripped to a bare shell and even crack the windscreen putting it in again which meant I got a brand new windscreen for free

Re: My GSI Replica Build - Respray

last weekend I decided to give the car a check over for the MOT which was up yesterday and found that all brake lines were great they had been all greased up by the later owner and boots etc. were intact and I'm now happy to announce that she now has a full MOT for another year so today its time to get my number plates fitted and GET HER DROPPED...

all this will be done today so I shall try and get the pictures posted later tonight
