Trackday/Weekend Astra gsi

Heres my new car which i picked up the weekend for £250.The body work is tatty but drove nice so i took it.Im planning on using it for a fast road car for the weekend and for a few trackdays.I may swap the engine for a c20let i have but if not will be running throttle bodies.

Has,had a few bad repairs and some dodgy wiring which will need sorting.Should have the new arches fitted by next weekend.

Christ amateur repair work!

Should be fine for what you want it for.

Do yourself a favour & find a lid for the airbox & ebay that filter off!

Had a busy day at work srtipping the interior and anyting else that wont be needed.

Then i started removing the sound proof layers from the floor.I never realised how hard this was and has taken about 6 hours so far but is nearly done now.

Did you not use a hot air paint stripping gun to soften the sound deadning pads did mine in 1/2 hour just peels off when heated... then celly thinners on a rag get residue and glue off a piece of cake....

The sills have been replaced so thats one less thing to worry about.I am going to try strip the body kit off and see whats hiding underneath.I got a solid sunroof from a calibra this weekend which i hope i could use to make a blanking kit for the sunroof but unfortunatly it was a bit big so gona cut it down a bit.
Next on the list is cage and some perspex windows.
