Re: z20let corsa c conversion

Well a little update on the brakes.

I've been in touch with a local garage that does motorsport preparation called I.L.A motors in Redditch worcs and they are happy to fit my brakes for around £300 to £400,this is for machining milling and drilling the caliper(vectra c v6),making a bracket to fit the brakes to the hub carrier and fitting.oh and welding up the extra holes on the disc.

Expensive but i need to get it sorted asap as i'll be hoping to get going on the engine the month after.and completed for late july early august.

Re: z20let corsa c conversion

Well it's been nearly 5 months since starting this thread.

So i thought i'd update it a bit.I've had no spare money to get this beast done, but i have spent what i could and managed to get started on the machining of my caliper carriers yesterday and should get most of it done tonight.

i'll take my camera down and take some photos of my engine now it's looking nice

Re: z20let corsa c conversion

Just a bit of advice anyone thinking of putting 314mm brake conversion onto nova's or corsa's don't bother go for 308mm or some hi-spec braks cus these brake are a mission to get fitted i've had to machine the caliper carrier and make a bracket to locate the caliper onto the hub.

Luckly one of my friends has a machining shop and loads of experience so hasn't cost me a penny.I was quoted 350 to 400 to get them done!which would have made thm more expncive than hi spec 4 pots ith 285mm discs.

I'll post some pics of the brakes tonight for you to see
