| my corsas evolution from XE to LET this is going to be a very slow build to start with untill my money gets back to a healty level.
my target is only 300bhp mainly due to drivability but im going to start out at evo5 and hope for 280bhp with a k26 hybrid.
this is the car at PVS 07
it now has 16inch mille miglia wheels in white (same design as in the pic) and only on 20mm springs which i reckon look **** ill stick a pic up for you to judge, gonna have it back on the 60mm springs and have it nice and silly low again
after blowing up several XEs ive finally got a reliable one but having driven it in XE form for the past year and a half its far too bloody slow! so im going to use the healthy XE as a base for turbo.
i started with getting all the parts together needed, from here and the bay
F28 GETRAG box in need of some light tlc, got two boxs in a deal one was shot to **** inside the other had brand new internals just needed a new casing, going to get that done at my local recon place.
oil feed AFM and tophat all from chris tubo on here, for a very reasonable price (my mate paid for an AFM what i paid for the lot lol)
also got a fully recon head with immaculate LET cams a new distributer coil and amp, most of the standard turbo pipes, and a blown kkk16 for hybridding
this powdercoated cover came in the post the other day too, was a late night ebay bid that i won and forgot about.
dont know wether or not to use it, theres a matching belt cover too.
the colour is great but will clash horribly with my arden blue car |

It should be alot of fun with a let in it, are you building the let bit by bit? As you can sorce them..
I like the colour of the cam cover...

| cam cover is really dark in comparison the arden blue but looks great, dont know wether or not to just keep the polished one on there.
im getting all the parts as money comes up, may even set a target date for PV08 too im going to take it off the road when ive got everything and pull out the engine, most of the bits on it are sold already so that will help fund the bottom end build costs.
going to go with black pipe work so the red silicone will help funds along too.
in the meantime ive got a stripped out bucketed harnessed polycarbed 205 GTi to play with |

The 205 GTI is a beautifully poised wee hot hatch, often refered to as the greatest hot hatch produced. There is a reason the Nova doesn't get a look in, they have the handling abilities of a butter fingered goalkeeper.

I often wish I had bought the 205 Dimma I viewed before I bought my first Corsa GSI! Even though it was 2 tone pink and purple it was a weapon and f*ck me it stuck like sh*t to a blanket. |

Corsa is much better... | corsa is so much worse round the bends, if i can afford to get my ass all the way to coombe and pay for track time etc i will do but ive a sneaky suspision that wont happen with this project happening before PV.
also the GTi has two versions the 1.6 and the 1.9, the 1.9 has a much better front suspension setup as well as being totally different to any other model in the range. the 1.6 is just like the rest though with shoddy wishbones and a pissy subframe.
P.S. mine has upper and lower strut braces so its solid Quote:

| nice, totally agree with keeping the power under 300bhp in a FWD mate, more is pointless IMHO. Gonna get a diff stuck in while those F28's are apart? |

i couldnt believe the difference with the springs the apexi ones that are on there are spongy and really unstable at speed the gmax ones are perfect though (even if theyre cheap) Quote:
