Re: my corsas evolution from XE to LET

well i heard a clink so assumed the bearing had gone, went to pull up then clunk the wheel overtook me bouncing along the verge, was funny as fook .

it sheared clean off at the stub axle and it dont look like much grease was in there, all fixable over winter for when i sell it.

not really, i felt it go but thought i had a few hundred yards to get omewhere safe, thats when the wheel overtook and i realised i was in reliant robin territory without a full set of brakes .

i lost the drivers side hub same time last year on the motorway in southampton, that was very scary lots of smoke and scary noises, just about managed to keep it straight and skidded over to the hard shoulder, substandard conversion hubs are very dangerous!

Re: my corsas evolution from XE to LET

/\ FPMSL as if!!

small update

got a decent turbo which needed a new wastgate as the arm was worn to **** thats done and fitted now, got new bearings for all corners to fit some new brake parts, then i might drive it again

cleaned and painted up, it was looking well mucky but the insides were lovely and oil free

Big thanks for Ives for hanging onto the turbo for me, and getting up at silly o clock (for a student anyway ) when i came to get it

more to follow

Re: my corsas evolution from XE to LET

funny you should say that, the last 2 days ive been working on it, got new rear bearings brakes and the engine is all built back up, gotta do the front wheelbearings.

the downpipe is now totally mocked up so that just needs welding to finish then ill crack on with the rest of the system.

it currently sounds like a T-rex with a nasty cough
