Today then. Armed with every badge removal guys needed toolkit:

    I set about removing these:

Badges off but glue left on:

So out with the secret formula:

    And off:

So i sat about doing a couple of bits. Fitted a battery bag, the rad cover and Irmscher grille:

Gonna fit my tinted headlights once the bumper comes off for its GSi equivalent. So outside and ready to go home:

    Re: Drizz Developments

So had an issue or two this week. Left for work the day after i debadged it and had no power. It was gutless. When i got to work it was idling so lumpy it was rocking the car. So i turned it off and went into work with the right hump! Popped out an hour later to start it up and see what it was like and it was really smooth again. So i left it and headed into work. When i came out to go home, again it was smooth. On the way home i lost the power again and it starting maxing out at 3500rpm, and also dying altogether. Turning the car off and back on again cured it (like the computer restart situation in the office LOL) So i stopped in a layby because it was so bad and turned it off, and then turned the ignition on and no management light lit up with all the others. So instantly i thought the previous owner had removed the bulb due to a fault. Anyway i got to the unit and took the dash apart. There was a bulb in there but it had blown, so i replaced it and put the dash back together. The management light was on constantly, but i was back to full power. So went to see my mate scott with his Snap on diagnotic machine and plugged it in. It flagged up 11 fault codes, most to do with the battery swap id done previous, with regards to the alarm going off. Also had lambda and cat fault codes amongst other minor ones. So we cleared it and went for a thrash. A mile later and the management light flashed and the car was undrivable, but again off and on again with the ignition and drivable. Reflashed it and brought up codes of misfire on 3 and 5 and no circuit on the service light (which is where i nicked the bulb from LOL) So looking up in the book translated this to knackered plugs, leads, coilpack or dodgy compression. So up the unit to rob the GSi of its coil pack, but upon examination i couldnt do that as the GSi has the 6 way coil pack the the 2.6 has 2 three way coilpacks. So i just replaced the plugs and put it all back together. Lovely, 150miles with no issues!
So yesterday i fitted the cruise stalk and clutch switch, as its fly by wire so doesnt need the control box, but it does need tech 2 to activate it, so i need to see a Vauxhall person for that. About 5 miles after fitting the cruise stuff the management light is back on, so im hoping its just the car finding something new as in the cruise and not knowing what it is as it isnt activated yet. Ive still got full power and smooth running so fingers crossed. Ill get Scott to flash it this week.
Also fitted my GSi twin round back box and took the letterbox off for selling.
    So more in the week.....
