Lots of specialist 4x4 sites and links to places to play all over the country.
It makes it more fun if a group of you get into it.

| Re: Drizz Developments With the floor in the backs, you will probably find that the steel bracing across the tub will go rotten and vanish completely, leaving the floor completely un-supported which will then be easy to bend.
Looking good though, I really want another landy now!

| Re: Drizz Developments Right while im waiting on parts for the Disco i thought id tinker with the Golf.
It had new CVs and trackrod ends over the weekend and today a new treat arrived:
A full exhaust, brand new, on the bay for £56!!!!!!! Bargain. Turns out it was a decat too. Result. Only thing was its for a 16v GTi not a VR6, so i bought it with the thought of Astra exhausts, they all go on as the floors the same, just down pipe mating could be different.
Anyway got the back box on:
And i wasnt wrong. The GTi down pipe must sit more to the passenger side than the VR6 so some modding was needed:
And all on:
The tailpipe is about 2.5" and doesnt really fill the cut out. Nigel had an oval tailpipe but Emo wasnt impressed LOL:
I may cut the tailpipe off and put that trim on yet but ill see how i feel after looking at it a couple of times. It sounds the same as the standard system (minus the backbox) did so im happy. I liked the sound of half an exhaust, just hated the knocking. Now it sounds the same but doenst knock!
Brilliant! |
