Re: Drizz Developments

Johns is a 300TDi he installed at xmas. He wanted the manual but when he was asked how much he wanted for the auto box by about 100 people he realised that it was probably worth something so installed it.
My Golfs a VR6 fella.
Thanks again Paul dont forget to PM me
No probs Brian. I think you paid over the odds but i know you were desperate
Hope you get it sorted....

Re: Drizz Developments

So today i needed to get the Disco ready for the off road event tomorrow, so first things first i had to put a matching set of wheels on, then i started on the front end.

Got the bullbar and bumper off:

My shackles fit on my steering guard:

But that left the corners exposed. So i took the corner trims:

And i cut them down:

And cable tied them back on to match what bumper was left (i love the functionover form attitude )

Heres a closer view of what the rock did:

And all ready for tomorrow:

Johns now drives and is also ready for tomorrow:

I shall take some pics of the day too!

Re: Drizz Developments

I recon the Auto box is definately the best option. One less thing to worry about, just plant the right foot and go...

Oh and I lost my front bumper today. Pictures to follow. I'm still grinning, what a great day....

Re: Drizz Developments

What a Day.

All started with some cleanish intact cars.

Then started to get them dirty.

Watched others having some fun.

Then Anita gave the Disco her first war wound. We got properly stuck in a ditch and could not get out by going forward.. Eventually reversed out but we ripped off the bumper trying to drive out.

Then Drizz decided to get stuck up the top of a steep climb.

But he got out and came back down again

Some posing shots.

Then we came accross a stuck Disco and stopped to watch.

The little buggy just slipped down and crashed into the Disco...

Then the huge recovery truck seen earlier in the water came over to help...

Result.

By now most of the quarry had came to view.

Then home again to annoy the neighbours.

Re: Drizz Developments

Besides the cost of the car and fuel it was £30 into the quarry for the whole day.

Fuel starvation. Either lines collapsing or the feed/return are the wrong way round...

The pump might be shafted now if it's been run without fuel.
