| Re: Drizz Developments Right well been slacking of late so heres a small update for you all.
Firstly the coilovers came off the golf after a week as theyre fooked! Refund has been requested so awaiting to send them back.
I lopped 4 inches of the gear stick as it was far too high. A nice difference, and more comfortable to use now.
Been eBay shopping to and this is where todays update starts. Before i bought the Golf the backbox fell off so this needed replacing:
So i bought this from a guy locally, as well as these polybushes for the rear beam from another retailer:
So got the car on a mates ramp (yes mine still isnt working yet ) and first job was to remove the splitter. This is the original:
I managed to buy a VR6 front end consisting of rad, fans, bumper, fogs, front panel etc and it had the deeper splitter. It was 7 miles down the road and £20. Yay!
So got the splitter off the other bumper and lifted the car up. Heres what the exhaust looked like:
Then got the rear beam off the car but left hanging on the shocks and got the old bushes out:
And new ones in:
So got it back down, and heres the new deeper splitter:
Well no more clunking from the rear end which is great so it definitely the rear bushes at fault. Unfortunately The back box didnt fit mine at all. Spoke to the guy i got it from and it appears it was from a K plate VR6, so there must be exhaust differences between early and late models. More to come soon.... |

| Re: Drizz Developments I need to see the Golf with those wheels on. it does not look right in that picture. Maybe its just the angle or the car needs lowering. Wheels look great though, and expensive.

| Re: Drizz Developments Well done a couple of bits today....
Started off like this:
Then went to this:
The green spoiler was badly painted, so a quick ebay bargain later.....
Needed a bit of treatment:
And refitted the towing eye cover that broke off:
More tomorrow.... |
