Now im a little troubled with my 308s. Was having a spirited drive home on the b roads with a mate in his RST Escort. I got serious serious fade, to the point where there wasnt much left at all. I think ill have to change to dot 5.1 fluid but not sure where alse to go after that. I was really disapointed with theyre performance. Granted theyre OE pads but even my old Omega had those and had no brake issue at all.....
Read that thread. you said about an Omega.

Re: Drizz Developments

Well John sorted the lights in the unit:

I started grinding the bottom ball joints off the vectra bottom arms:

And fitted the Corsa bottom ball joints. Only loosely as we have a lot of adjustment to do:

Got the hubs on and some wheels on:

Then rolled it all under:

Then pulled it back out and some wierdo poked his head in (Emo my welder):

And started the next stage. Before:

After:

So as you can see its not that much wider. The aftermarket arches will cover that. More tomorrow.

Blame 3 things:

a. The CVH isnt reliable enough
b. The XE wouldnt physically fit in the front bay
c. Emo is an arse and kept on that i should do it!

So that we could use corsa 4 stud hubs. Small brakes on the rear then as opposed to big Vectra ones and also 90% of vecs are 5 stud.

Re: Drizz Developments

Yes, well theres been more progress over last few days. Firstly Nigels new project arrived:

To go with his other projects:

Then my roll cage turned up. Didnt get the FIA one as it would have needed a lot of chopping to fit round the engine. So got this one so we can add to it instead...

More to come soon....

Re: Drizz Developments

WARNING VIDEO CONTENT OVER 18s ONLY!!!!

Right so the afternoon started with us playing with airhorns, then it progressed to 'What else can we use the compressor for'
So we did this:

Firstly (and sorry theyre on the wonk) a small bit of metal propped up and a bottle:

then a gearknob taped to the bottle and a firing tube:

Then a bigger bottle:

Then a tennis ball:

Then a tennis ball with water:

Then we blew up an evian bottle. It made such a bang a passer by hit the deck. Im gutted i didnt get that one on film. After we picked ourselves up off the floor from laughing, we tried again. It wouldnt go, not even with 130psi of pressure:

So we thought how could we get it to burst. Weaken the plastic with heat. Bingo:

Then once we ran upstairs to ensure the flaming bottle hadnt still been alight when it went over our heads and onto the second floor we moved onto an airbag:

I havent laughed so much in a long time! Sorry for the girly laughter, thats me
