also just looking at your lifter and you said you need a new motor, whats wrong with the old motor can it be rewound? or is it a 3 phase?
No as the water leaked out before i even turned it over. But obviously i filled it with oil just before. Oil and water are dropped out now. Havent seen evidence of oil seeping so hopfully itll be ok. In theory i could leave the inlet manifold on the head to lift it off. Just undo the fuel lines couldnt i? But ideally id rather not! Wouldnt the pressure of the head tightning force fluids out? Are you saying use the airline to blow it out now or with the head off?

Re: A-2-Drizz Developments

i was thinking airline with the head on but only posible if there is a visable gap which by the sounds of it there isnt, its posible that the tightening may push the fluids out but i did one before with water on the head and the ****ing thing lost compression accross all four, gotta be worth a try tho rather than taking the head off.

Re: Drizz Developments

I always though it a bit odd to store a car in a barn in the middle of nowhere when he has plenty of parking space ay home.

Do you know if you had not have mentioned it I did not notice the thread change titles. I cant even remember what it was called...

Re: Drizz Developments

Well just took the estate for its maiden voyage!
Revs took themselves up to 6k for a bout 3 seconds but other than that fine. No power steerings a killer though. I need to dig out the correct engine mount so i can connect up the PAS pump.
SO ill sort the fuel pump now!

Re: Drizz Developments

Well today was a good day. Got it filled up with gearbox fluid, fitted the uprated fuel pump, put it all back together and went for a drive. Think i might have a boost leak but ill deal with that. Then as that was under its own steam time to play with the fiesta

John and Scott came round, and Elmo couldnt resist getting involved:

More tomorrow
