| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments well today was progress. Got a ladder and put the banner up:
Then had a brainwave. Have a lot of stuff kicking about on the floor, and while i had the ladder i thought about hanging stuff. So Emo helped out with a load of 5 inch nails and i went round hanging stuff up. Instant floor space! Also moved the whole place round to create more space so its getting there. A lot more to do yet, and i need to get rid of all the tyres and rims we have surplus to our requirements! |

| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Right today then...
First things first was to put Steve's car back to standard where the lights are concerned. So Morettes off (for sale BTW )
Boxes of new bits:
And done! CONTENT WARNING LIABLE TO UPSET SOME
Then i started shaking, knowing i was about to cut up a 200tS bumper
Heres the tS one next to the Estate one. See the mounting bolts in different places:
Cut the mounting out the STD one:
Then took the knife to the 200tS one
And the estate mounting bracket inside the 200tS bumper. A little cutting of the bracket should see it fit:
Next will be when Ross (RH Propaint) Takes the knife to the bumper skin |

| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Today was an 11hr stint and it begun like this:
Andy and i spent a couple of hours last night moving the base about to try and see where we wanted it and where would work. We wanted it by the door but swinging in to the space where the fiesta is was too much hassle, so we decide to have it angled towards that space so we could drive through the ramp to where the fiesta is, still keeping the two spaces on the left and then the 4th space is the ramp. we could even have one on the ramp and one underneath making 5 spaces. Now the corner weve lost for parking will be where the workbench and tools etc will be kept so it can be a work area. So here goes. This is its decided position:
And this is the corner we will be using for working in:
So my mate Neil who we employed to fit it, arrived and after we had the all important brew, cracked on. As standard the base only bolted down in 6 places, so we added more, using a magnetic drill. Handy piece of kit:
You can also see from the above pic we chopped off the rear H section. It was only about a foot long so we added more length, and more mounting holes, doubling the original 6 to 12 ground anchors:
Welding it up:
Then we stood it up to weld the underneath:
Tidying the welds up:
Drilling into the ground:
Making the holes bigger:
Because of the box section design of the base, Andy was worried about catching his rims on it, so i suggested cutting a V in it and folding it down. Neil obliged:
Then back on the floor and the weapon in our fixing armoury:
Filling the holes:
Putting the threaded bars in:
And levelling up after an hours curing time:
So next job, getting the posts up:
And the arms on:
And trying it for size:
And showing us fitting in:
Monday i need to check the bolts for tightness. We need to investigate the safety cable, as regardless of what we do its 6" too long, then once thats sorted, clamp the lifting arms to the threaded blocks, put the covers on and get a single phase moter then bobs your uncle lol |
