| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Turbo rims are what Mk3s should have. Unfortunately the old rims wouldnt allow the fitment of my 308s. Therefore they are up for sale!
Anyway, todays work as follows:
Got the front end off the saloon and rolled it out to remove its water:
Turbo off:
Strippage:
The pile grows:
Box all undone and everything off including the mounts so its just sat on the subframe. When Andys new engine stand turns up ill lift it out and bolt it up ready for inspection!
And as the cars all clean i thought id mod the bootlid:
Then i fitted my secondary DVD/MPEG/MP3/MP4/USB player in the glovebox and called it a day!

| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Thanks.
In reply to your points.
1) The other wheels were 4 stud and i had 5 stud 308s plus a modified cavalier 5 stud rear beam to fit an estate so they had to go. Theyre for sale though
2) Yes i own my own courier business so only work mornings, plus the wife doesnt mind. She has a life too. You have to do youre own things! |

| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Well slowed down the last week or so as work is busy so only odd jobs in the workshop. Today i fitted my newly aquired gaitor and Irmscher gear knob:
Built up the new engine stand:
out she comes, got bored of the RWD saloon :
Then box out:
The the cavvy needed some care so a replacement set of discs, put these grooved ones on:
New pads all round, new oil, oil filter, plugs, air filter, and fuel filter. All healthy again! |

| Re: A-2-Drizz Developments Well today goes like this:
Found an airbox in stock (because the K&N cone had seen better days) that had been drilled already so seemed a prime candidate:
So in true Drizz Developments fashion they werent good enough :
But my brew got the waste :
Cleared out the ducting from the top and bottom:
Then set about removing the plate in the inner wing for more air feed:
Bit of touch up paint round the edge and job done.
So old filter, and new K&N courtesy of Brian (cheers chap!):
All fitted up ready to go:
Now the fun bit! Stuff has started coming back from the painters The transformation begins:
Rocker cover:
And handles:
And the later cambelt cover (another rocker to go too) in Samco blue :
I think ill be selling the blue ones as ive gone colour coded as you can see, but ill try them on and see what i prefer.
Also replaced the clocks so the speedo works again
Im writing this update live so im still busy doing bits here, plus theres a lot more stuff to come back from the painters yet too |
