| Pretty much, i think the only thing that requires changing is something to do with the oild feed but it is very minor. Just need tosave £600 for the remap and i'll bung it on.

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo Its been yonks since i last updated, mainly because nothing has really happened due to buying my first house, which cost me an arm and a leg. Anyway a while ago i purchased some tatty alloys to replace mine so got them refurbed and have now finally saved up for the toyo tyres.
You'll also notice the M32 gearbox sat there, thats a long term project as well but will hopefully be on by the end of the year at some point. Just been adding a few layers of polish to the alloys before i cover them in poorboys wheel sealant and then its off to have them fitted. The current turbo alloys i have will be for sale soon after that, they are ver kerbed though. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo Right take, these....
And with a quick bit of cutting and fiddling you get this.....
Just got to wait for the glue to dry then i can pop out to the car to check the viewing angle is find then its time to smash a small amount of fibre glass and filler on. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo So following on from yesturday i went out this morning to check that the holders lined up alright in the position they are in and they, although the bottom one is ever so slightly cover its very minor and can still clearly see the gauge. So got about fibre glassing it.....
Once that was done and all dryed out, out came the sand paper to take out all the rough edges and bumps. Ended up with this...
Needs a little more work on the one side but will be ready for a bit of filler soon enough. Then painting
Oh and a little tip, don't sand fibreglass with a top off, its itches to buggery |

| Why You Should Never Leave Jobs Well just to give a bit of background information to this, thought i had a problem with my alarm so remove my inner wheel arch trim to get at it. As it was a mad rush job i left it tucked in afterwards as the clips had fallen out into a drain and the gutter. At the time i just thought i'll order some tommorrow jobs a gooun. Except i forgot and never ordered the clips. Cue me driving along the motorway last night at what would be a decent rate of knots when a horrid sound started come from the wheel arch.
Pulled over saw the trim hanging out, realised i was a tit and tucked it back in to the arch, making a mental note to get clips. Then it happened again driving along the motorway back home today, except it was light this time and when i got out to sort it i saw the damage it had done......
So now something that should have cost me a couple of quid will no doubt cost me a couple if hundred to get resprayed. To say im fuming is the biggest understatment ever. Feel like actually punching myself in the head. Ah well the bonnet and front bumper need respraying anyway so i guess it wil force me into doing it.
Rememeber kids, if there is a job that can be done, don't play xbox live instead, get your lazy arse outside and do it, small jobs become big jobs in no time. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo Finally got a new centre console and got rid of the comedy taped on gauges on the old one. Went to the breakers and managed to pick up this lot for a bargin £10...
So chucked on the new inner wheel arch trim, needed fiddling with was from a lower spec model so couldn't fit the brake ducts without drilling a new hole for the screw. Got all the new centre console stuff in too, looks much better now, never really liked the grey stuff. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo Finally decided to sort out my oil leaks, plus the regular oil/filter change. Had a few other things to change like the tc surrround in the dash. Here's everything i needed to change....
First thing first get the car up on the stands...
Undid the sump plug which need changing as it thought it was leaking. So while the sump was draining i changed the pollen filter, by christ mine was filthy, as you can see....
The pile of crap in front of it is just a small portion of what came out of it, not to mention the load of stuff i pulled out from the slot. New one back in...
Also sorted the dash surround so the whole thing is black now, looking much better than the grey stuff if you ask me.
But then we get to the crux of my problems. After fitting the new sump gasket, i changed the copper slips in the oil feed return from the turbo which was leaking.
But now afterwards it is STILL BLOODY LEAKING. Noticed in another thread someone mentioned that the return pipe itself gets porous? is this a common problem? also on the off chance someone has changed one do they have a price of it? Also got another leak from the other side the engine, no idea where it is coming from so need to investigate this. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo Finally finished my A pillar gauge holder. But if im brutally honest its nowhere near as good as i'd like, mainly because i got sick and tired of sanding the fecker lol. Now its sprayed satin black it doesn't look too bad but close up you can see the small defects, but thankfully nobody will be close to it due to me being the driver ha ha. Anyway here's some pics....
Once the paint has dryed properly it'll be getting chucked in the car, only have one working gauge at the moment but shouldn't be too long until i've saved enough for the additional one. |

| Re: Matt's Coupe Turbo fitted the A pillar cover back in today, managed to slightly damage it too but thankfully that is in a place that isn't visible. But on the whole now its in the car i don't think it looks too bad.
Also sprayed the oppositte pilar cover so it all matches up. |

david | Seen them, but don't think its a very good position for line of sight, with this i can read the gauge straight away without taking my eye of the road. Plus i don't particulally like the cd holder versions. |
