You can't buy a corsa pickup over here. And the ones you can buy abroad don't look like mine, i did look at plenty of pics of the proper pickup.

And when you say the money i've spent building it, At the moment it probably owes me about £600 alltogether for everything so i think i'm doing really well!

Glad you all like, wasn't sure how it was gonna turn out myself at first but i am likeing the way its going.

Heres some updated pics as promised.

The whole car needs cleaning inside and out and still plenty of bits to finish off but its nearly there now. The paint still needs flatting and buffing too, its also covered in overspray at the moment but its still shining!

Well i took it for an mot yesterday and it failed (which i knew it would). It failed on:

needs 2 reflectors right at the back
Needs a foglight right at the back
needs some side repeaters(which i hadn't fitted yet)
Needs some washer jets(which i hadn't fitted yet)
    handbrake needs adjusting
    The brakes need bleeding properly
    And a tyre needs replacing

And thats it! I was well chuffed, was expecting it to be allot worse!

So going to get it all sorted this week and then should be on the road next week

love the new rear indicators shame they are pretty much a waste, since they have to be right at the back to pass an mot.

Well actually if you read my lat post you'd see that they are legal and the lights did pass the mot, and it was a legit mot not a bent one.

Its a small old world, a chap that i know has just recently purchased this for his lad (although he cant get insured on it as its radically altered as the ins. company put it lol). It still looks the same and just as good as it does in the pics too.

So just to let you know its still alive even after nearly 4 years

I should have taken a pic really but i will next time i see it

    Good Job and nice work.

There is a lot of spattling compound at your rear work. Hope not that it will form cracks ... but very nice idea dude

So glad this thread wasnt closed, just had a good 10 minute read, awesome work & it might just be me but i like the lights, originality is the key here. Such a mad invention, from the front you think...its a tigra then you see it from the side & go...erm...not a tigra, what is it! Lol i love it & its a great advert for your work, for a budget you've done amazing! Glad to hear its still alive aswell. Any plans for another mad invention?

Re: My Corsa pickup project thread

Yes this legally seen the road. It had a genuine MOT! When i was making it i did speak to a few mot places about the lights and the only thing they said was that so long as i put the reflectors right at the back like i did then you can put the lights where ever you like.
And the fact that i had cut the back off wasn't a problem as it was just a slight modification to them and because i hadn't cut the B post in anyway meant it still had all its strength. It never went for a VIC check as it didn't need one. Its still just a corsa on the log book. only thing i changed was that it had 2 seats and the coulor change.
