your welcome! im selling my 6 speed quaife dog box with 90% diff if you ever feel like more gears!
ive dropped a few hints that i want a money tree for christmas, so if the family pull through on that one i will surely buy your gearbox! and your quaife shifter rod!
until such time that that happens i'll be stuck with my f13![]()
lol i have plenty to get rid of - 1600 ecotec engine is running throttle bodies mbe management baffled sump with tony law system. then plus all the rest in the engine itself suppose to be a good high power engine around 180bhp i'd say. I've been 210bhp but i dont believe that.
picked up a fg bonnet, fg bootlid and spoiler and a full epas kit from a corsa C including boss, controller and dash adjuster.
bonnet is the type without the inner frame, it just has box section fg sections in it, so it may not cope with a pod, time will tell.
cant wait to get rebuilding!
sweet hopefully have my stuff up soon![]()
rolling shell and many many parts now for sale, i'll be keeping engine and box, shocks, braided lines and a few other bits that will fit a corsa (theres a clue as to what im planning)
trimmed shell with tailgate, spoiler, fresh doors (waiting to be painted right now) wings, bumpers, skirts, lights, grill, fibreglass bonnet, perspex windows, heated screen, fuel tank, kevlar guard, sump guard and mounts, quaife quick rack, column and suede wheel, disk rear beam, wiring looms etc etc
plus a van load of spares including... suspension arms, steering rack, steering column, hubs, track rod ends, ball joints, axles, skirts, lights, etc etc etc far too much to list!!!
will get a proper advert with pics up soon but just thought id put a wee heads up on here first!
sounds good

Very nice Kenny! Where did you find that....
Ref. Cage. It could be a Hockly cage? My rollcenter cage has different diameter tube from the main hoop. My mate has a custom cage in a nova and that's same diameter all over.
Rob
If I ain't earning it - I'm spending it!!
looking forward to seeing the Corsa take shape Kenny. Drop me a PM if you would like the thread title changed.
Looking good Kenny, two things you might want to consider whilst your at this stage.
Cut the side impact tubes out of the doors.
Cut the steering rack mount studs off weld a sleeve in to replace them and use a through bolt, they have a habit of shearing. Also if you move the mounting holes down 5mm it will give you room to shim the steering arms to reduce bump steer.
Blimey, it's turning into Corsa rally-car central around here! lol
Looks like a great place to start from!
Brian Sidebotham.
kev do you have pics of how your shell has been done ref the steering rack mounts? ive heard of sleeving the mounts before right enough but i guess it could be awkward to get it 100%.
also what steering rack do you use?
thanks guys for all the nice comments, it is a very nice shell but i will make a few further improvements before i use it.
rob its a custom cages cage, almost identical to the cage fitted to kevs new car.
Will see if i have any pics but its not hard to do, i got some 12mm od tube with a 8mm id cut them to length so they sit just proud of the bulkhead. Cut off the old studs and drill 12mm holes into the bulkhead, bolt the rack up to the car and tack weld the tubes in place, remove rack and weld.
Im using a Nova quick rack 2.25 turn with the Corsa power column.
re: the rack studs, it happens to alot of novas aswell (ewens first one im sure, but he just welded new studs in, and strengthened to suit) but the bolt through idea seems alot easier.
oh, and i think you should start a new project thread for the corsa, its a completely different project after all
Edit! just spend god knows how long reading this from the start, I really hope the next one goes alot quicker, you have 8 months to give some "development time" eeek!!

Bloody hell, where did 6 years go![]()
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"
drama queen, its only 5.33ish years. keep your hair on! but yeah, mad to think in all that i maybe drove about 600 miles in it, and 280 of them were when i had to drive it to the cage fabricator!!
Well even so :P That was before i bought my flat, when I was shonking around in the burgundy cav (7 ish cars and a ban ago) !!
Be good to see it on Mull!!
