another update today

painted block and just threw it back together!! nothing is bolted down though! accept mounts and dipstick etc





also cut slam panel out! no pics of this yet as i still need to make it so i can bolt it back in, still need arp con rod bolts! will order them tomorrow or monday i guess with new sump gaskets

Dont worry about that bottom end if your not coming to PV, It was only for spares so no big deal.

I'll bring £75 with me if you coming up with the complete bottom end

got headgasket, head bolts, water pump, cam belt with tensioner/rollers.. all to be fitted, put gasket and bolts in hand tight just waiting on torque wrench to arrive!

also found when i removed the sump that it has been fitted with a 8v rubber gasket and some lovely ARP rod bolts! well chuffed! selling the ones i brought now!

only thing im struggling with is the getting cams in? and finding bottom timing mark

collected my head bolts and gasket

head is on just needs tightening down..



re-routed the PAS pipes..makes it easier with new turbo!



put turbo on to see whats what... lol not much room at all!







about it today, waiting on pulley and rocker cover still. hopefully sunday i will have it all tight and wired up! all the plumbing is done though! and need to shorten oil cooler pipes so its just little bits...soon adds up time though lol

update:

turbo is on, all intercooler pipes had to modify my hose but was dead easy.





my old rocker cover which my girlfriend kindly updated for me lol





then she went wild with the cam taking pics of light saber loool



pretty much finished now, just need to do cambelt and wire battery in boot

done some more today, moved coil and finished plumbing in the rad also fitted the fan round the back as it didnt work round the front end lol ops! all the oil cooler hoses are fitted! was going to shorten them but there spot on now i routed them slightly different bumper will fit better now to which is good...the battery is also wired up first time i seen the ignition on in 3months lol!!

going to saw off another slam panel at a scrappy, also need a 90deg bend off the turbo so i can hook some hoses up as the pas is in the way



and there is 2 pipes off the wastegate, what one goes where?

got it running today fired up straight away pretty much!

done some more bits today

cam cover and air filter back in place, dirty marks have been wiped off



3" downpipe, fits a gt28rss so needs flange changing for my t34



slam panel bolted in an painted, went over it again when on the car as it scratched a few bits bonnet looks slightly open when its shut...might have to adjust that!



battery is flat which is gay! but will sort that when its running for good oil pressure sat bang on 60psi yesterday so thats all good, vacuum was spot on to and no oil leaks as of yet lol!

looking good mate, glad you got it back together and running. Mine hasn't been bad for oil leaks either, though I am using the sump baffle with the bonded rubber this time which seems much better than the stupid dual gasket set up the let has as standard.
