could get some sandpaper and take the sharp ridges off.

I take it your doing new shells etc, If so take pistons to an engine builder for proper info on them,
Or rebore & oversize pistons ??? Depends on your budget really....
When not on axle stands, I'm on boost......
i wasn't going to touch anything but gaskets etc
i was going to do arp rod bolts...about it tbh.
Roll on LET power....
shold be able to get away with just that. just take the sharp edges off the tops of the pistons where the valves have hit

whats the best thing to use? and whats the torque settings on arp rod bolts? also whats the 1.9mm gasket like off lmf?
saves me making a new thread lol
Roll on LET power....
get the gasket from steveboyslim matey. and id look at getting the head stud kit off him too.
rod bolts should come with the torque figures.
think 45ftlb, wind off, 45ftlt, wind off, then final 45ftlb and leave or maybe be 43ft lb instead of the 45's.
as for pistons maybe some rough emery on a block. without looking its hard to say what would be needed as to how badly marked they are

thanks mate, there not that bad...only on one side tbh.
Roll on LET power....
think it is only 32lbft for arps mate, in the sequence you said. Seems slack but I am pretty sure those were the figures that came with my set. Remember to coutersink the conrod caps but 1mm as well
here are the instructions mate
http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Info_sheets/R..._rod_bolts.htm
dif bolts have dif torques, sure for stock rods its in the 40's. the bolts come with instructions anyway

cheers guys lol

update:
head turned up yesterday!
gave it a good clean
also got another LET bottom end from a chap on tuesday!
primered engine bay
and sprayed
just need head gasket and studsthen she's ready to go back together!!!
Roll on LET power....
will be ordering a 1.3mm gasket off steveboyslim and most probably head stud kit and arp rod bolts!
any advice when bolting back up?
Roll on LET power....
get a very very light skim on that head. it will need it for the cometic gasket to seat better. also make sure the top of the block is spotless.
you should piss it for PVS. ive got to build a full LET tonight for my mate!

not going pvs mate...only will if this chap wants my bottom end.
the guy i brought it off said it had been done, and said it was spot on when he was running it!
Roll on LET power....
Dont worry about that bottom end if your not coming to PV, It was only for spares so no big deal.
i could do with the cash lol and someone might want an exhaust that im selling so its up to you?
