| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor I have a home made bracket at the moment for use with the standard alt. Im planning on buying the ultra light alt from SBD that comes with the bracket.
They do a neat adjustable bracket for the standard alt that isnt too pricey. |

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor Cheers mate, ive got a 120 amp one so that it will run a lamp pod. I dont think SBD's mini alt is anywhere near that - or is it?

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor Nope. IIRC SBD's mini alt is only 55amps.
The big 120amps alt is not needed on many cars unless like you for rally light pods/night racing. |

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor i take it you're not planning to use this on the road then with the super small flywheel and the twin plate clutch you'll need to have with it?
i would definitely speak to martin about parts, he's the man

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor Will it be that hard to drive? if so i will probably go for the 7.5? Will definatley be easier on my bank account. Is it the 3.1kg fly you now use lee? |

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor once you go twin plate on such a small flywheel you loose so much inertia it will be a pain in the ass, i know you'll use your clutch less than most, but tbh, i would go for what i run, the 3.1 with a 7.25 on a red spring, single plate cerametallic, its slippable enough for the road, but has enough grip to cope
also, once you go for the small fly, the costs just spiral with not many gains, for the starter etc etc |

| Re: My WIP 1600 16v Track motor Thanks once again Lee, your definatley right think i will prob go down the route you have. Its too easy to get carried away with an un-needed spec. |
