was this car from Milton keynes originally??? seen it about years ago when the lad first put the 19's on it and kit. looked good back then but times have changed.things are more about "less is more" in the looks department and all about how it goes.well my car is anyway and most of mig. but the important thing is you like it so keep at it mate

Total Vaux is the way forward ak, your right
as for people saying about the 1.6turbo conversion, the whole point of modifying cars is to make your car unique, and making it to how YOU want it to look, not how everyone else wants it, if everyone did what someone else liked, we'd all be drivin round in the same cars more or less, as for the comment about making it a fast car then putting loads of weight in it, i dont think toms idea was to make a fast moving car, the fact that he would like a bit of power was more the idea, why have a lush looking car (in peoples own opinion) then boot it around at stupid speeds so people cant see it, he has a nice lookin car so people will notice him, not so he can throw it around a track and get good lap times

i kid. keep going with the car, after all it is your car. people need to be a bit more constructive with their comments and especially with their criticism.

Re: 1.6 TURBO Conversion

The pistons are finally on there way, after 3 months of waiting and they should be here within the week (fingers crossed). So they will be getting fired in and then it is the rebuilding process (BEST PART) ....... needing a TURBO then

Also started fiber glassing the dash, guna have a serious amount of work doing to it, thanks to Scott (S700TTT) for the mint ideas !!!!!!

Watch this space ppl !!

Re: 1.6 TURBO Conversion

Project been a long time waiting, but now it is finally comeing together, last 2 weeks i have really been cracking on,

Block has been painted green

Full engine Strip down

Low comp pistons fitted to uprated con rods

All bottom end bearings replaced

Head and cylonder skimmed

And here are the pictures...........

The skimming had also been laser checked to show the smallest of imperfections (pictures where difficult to take)
